Since NFL Network is replaying the Ravens wildcard victory of over the Miami Dolphins, this seems like an appropriate time to discuss an excellent article about one of our favorite players.

After his first pick, the athletically gifted safety weaved his way through the Miami offense as if he were Gale Sayers, returning the ball 64 yards for a score that lifted Baltimore to a 10-3 second quarter lead that they would never relinquish.

His second INT was not nearly as spectacular, but perhaps as important: it thwarted one of Miami

I'm still wishing the Ravens kept Adalius Thomas because his pass rushing abilities really helped us out. If Reed had a better pass rush in front of his(Suggs and Adalius on the outsides) then his numbers would probably be even better... I know, that's scary to even think about since his numbers are already so good.

But I guess the main thing is to be happy Reed is still playing. I was so worried when I heard news that his neck injury could end his career. Even if it's always in the back of his mind and prevents him from laying those nasty hits on people he used to... and if it stops him from making those flying tackles at running backs feet out of nowhere to take them down... I will still take an 80% Reed over anyone else. LOVE THE GUY!

That is why I've been hoping we get a standout olb in either the first or second round since AD left. JJ is good against the run but he is far from a complete olb IMO. He just isnt good rushing the passer and we need more pressure badly.

Does anyone still think there is a better safety in the league?
