Was 2008 Ed Reed's Best Year Of His Career?

Seems like it was, he had soooo many huge plays like the one against Philly, the Dolphins game, the Redskins game ended the year with 10 ints. All this coming with a serious shoulder injury which is pretty amazing itself..

ed got 8 of his Int's in the last 7 games of the season so i say no we will have more with landry coming back Qb's will be forced to throw it Reed's way plus an inproved pass rush will make sure of that.

I would have to go back to when he won DPOY.

Yep. 2004 he TORE it up. He did last year too, but 2004 he was getting sacks, blocking punts, licking recievers, lighting up special teams and most importantly: making tackles. It's not his fault, but because he couldn't attack the ball carrier or effectively make tackles, so it wasn't as good as 2004. Still shouldda been DPoY if you ask me though.

It's hard to argue against him 2004 season, he was amazing. But I guess you could say that since he played a performed well in the postseason, it was a "better" year. Not my opinion, but you could make that argument.
