Nfl Cheerleaders

13 posts in this topic

ok i saw an artical some where about NFL cheerleaders not being allowed warm up or do anything near the visitor side of the feild....they did this because suposedly teams have been asking them to go try and distract them a little bit but isnt that part of having a home feild advantage??? what is the NFL coming too...

as i herd some one say the NFL is now the NO FUN LEAGUE!

its like Deion said a while back "they're taking the fun out of it all".........then when he was talking about Chad and his celebrations he said "for all you people out there who dont like chad and his celebrations... I love it, i love them...he is the kind of player that makes Football worth watching, and he the kind of person who makes football fun"

I think that was very well put by Deion....there should be alot more players like Chad...i mean def not the cocky S.O.B talking about how he's gonna "hit" ray right in the mouth...i mean the Chad as in the Entertainer and makes people watch him because he makes the game fun again..... you guys agree? i sure do

Unless this is a brand new rule or thought, its not true. Every ravens game at home and on the road had cheerleaders on the visitor side. I mean come on if 70,000 screaming fans cant distract an o-lineman, cheerleaders on the sidelines wont either...usually during "play" the cheerleaders arent doing anything but standing there anyway.

edit: found this link http://sports.aol.com/fanhouse/2007/09/23/...f-visiting-pla/

seems its only a ban on warming up/stretching etc before the game near the visitors bench...

I say any type of ban that involves cheerleaders is blasphemy. Seriously.. they're cheerleaders. What are they mocking and making fun of the opposing team's players?

To address your point Raven07 I agree to an extent. More players with their fun sense of humor would be cool but at the same time, Chad just isn't Chad unless he's trying to be a pompous pain in the you know what.. but that's what makes him him. Sometimes it's amusing, others it's a pain. But he's Chad.

i mean there shouldnt be another obnoxious player like Chad out there, but im talking strictly about the Entertainer side, you side of the player you LOVE to watch and the side of Player that makes people want to watch Football...all these rules are just taking away from the sport (excluding the deciplinary actions, Goodell is doing an outstanding job at that)

i mean we all want our players on our team to do a lil something after doing something that could be game changing and what not....like scoring a TD after breaking one for 50 yards or more, the Fans would LOVE to see their player to a celebration and celebrate with Teammates, thats just natural, you doing something Good for your team, the first thing you do is celebrate with Teammates and what not.....

you get my point?

I hear what you're saying, I think we all just want emotion shown from our players or recognition to us as fans.. something we can look at and say hey, they're having fun and appreciate what they're doing. I would say yeah it'd be cool to have more of that. The NFL has gone way overboard on some of the penalties it hands out for celebrations and quite honestly I'm not sure why. If they really want to clean up their image, how about keeping criminal players out of the league or penalizing them with harsher penalties?

Yeah, anybody hear the motion to allow o-lineman to wear earpieces so they can hear the quarterback in loud stadiums?

Are you kidding me?!

I will be furious if that comes to be. It takes the 12th man and homefield advantage out of the game.

dude that would just "take the cake" on the NFL becoming (in Ray Lewis's Words..) "its getting to a point to which its a [slur removed] league, u cant do this, u cant do that....its rather embarassing"

the emotion players show is crucial for getting fans into the game. i mean seriously, if Ray hadn't been the emotional leader of this team alllll this time, who would have been? and how would that have affected the team? and the fans? and the superbowl victory? i mean come on if the players cant get into what theyre doing how can we?

as for o-line earpieces thats just rediculous...i really hope it doesnt pass

there NEEDS to be emotion in a football game for the teams..i mean....the Players Feed off of the crowds energy and effects their performance in some way or another.....and the Crowd feeds off of the Players energy and tempo of the game, its kimda like a "mutal relationship" i guess you could say...
