Most Feared Players

8 posts in this topic

Since we have a couple of weeks in front of us before the start of the season, i want to start a little thread, very easy and quick, If u could choose one player from our 2009 2010 opposing teams as the player you don't want to play against, the most dangerous, not only about his last seasons, or his skills, but just the guy u feel can make big plays on that day against us ! i'll put mines down here, sometimes it's kinda hard to choose one...

Kansas City Chiefs : Bernard Pollard : After what he did last year on week 1, i don't want that to happen again !

San Diego Chargers : Shawn Merriman : If he comes back healthy, he'll be a great challenge for Our awesome rookie Michael Oher.

Cleveland Browns x2 : Josh Cribbs : Just Because i think he scored 2 times on return on the last 4 games against us.

New England Patriots : Tom Brady

Cincinnati Bengals x2 : Carson Palmer : The Elbow is 100% he could have a good old great year !

Minnesota Vikings : Jared Allen : I just don't think A.P will have a good game against us, but the two Williams make Jared Allen concentrate almost only on the pass rush.

Denver Broncos : Champ Bailey : Probably against Clayton, who is smaller, look out Joe !

Indianapolis Colts : Reggie Wayne : i couldn't say Peyton, i love those audibles battles against Ray at the line of scrimmage so bad ! Reggie had heck of a game against us last year, with some amazing grabs like the one over Walker on the sideline... bad memories for me !

Pittsburgh Steelersx2 : Santonio Holmes : Just because of the big plays he had against us on the last couple of games, especially that last minute TD @ home.

Green Bay Packers : Nick Collins : I really think that guy is a bit underrated, he's not as a ballhawk as our dude Ed Reed is but he showed he can control his backfield...

Detroit Lions : Calvin Johnson : If Stafford has a "Ryan Flacco" type of rookie season, the pair Stafford Johnson could be a problem for many secondaries.

Chicago Bears : Devin Hester: Even After a disappointing 2008, he still has enough dynamite in his legs to be dangerous.

Oakland Raiders : DHB : Last game of the season, he'll have almost a year of experience which help him on his running routes, he could have those last good games when u say "this guy will have a great second year" i didn't say Namdhi Asomugha coz he didn't have great games on the last times we played them.

Can't wait to have u guys differents opinions !!!

why do you people fear the cheap shots of spitsburg , you do remember the rule changes if they land those cheap shots this time 1 time is 15 yards 2 times is a 15 yard and player forfeits competion(ejection) and 3rd time well lets say we walk out clean and 1 more win

Devin hester isn't doing kickoffs or punts anymore so I am not worried about him. I am more worried about Matt Forte.

The only comment I have is Manning.

Every time we play him he figures out a way to make girl scouts out of our defence.

Its painful to watch.

First of all, I reject the concept of this entirely. The Ravens fear noone! That being said...

The only ones I would change from Slim are:

Chiefs: Dwayne Bowe, guy has great leaping ability and is a serious endzone threat. I think we might shut Cassel down, though.

Chargers: Vincent Jackson, hard for our little CB's to match up with such a humangolous WR. Shawne Merriman usually rushes from the right, which is our left, Jared Gaither. Nuff said bout that. Shaun Phillips might make Oher look like a rookie. The bookend vs. OLB matchup in that game will be cool to watch, including Suggs vs. Marcus McNeill.

Broncos: Marshall, same reason, possibly Eddie Royal because you kind of forget about him.

Packers: Greg Jennings, best WR in the game that gets little attention, alongside Andre Johnson and now Calvin Johnson.

Colts: Robert Mathis, guy quietly kills us most times we play them.

Steelers: Dick LeBeau.

WR heavy list, but the WR's are some of the best players on most of those teams.
Inability to stop the pass at crucial times is usually our Achilles Heel, and of course turnovers on offense.

Defensive Ends/OLB's and Wide Receivers are usually the guys you have to keep from making game changing plays. CB's can only make plays if you let them. Running backs barely ever matter, because we're the Ravens. We need to shut down Chris Johnson next time we play TEN, to make a statement.

The importance of individual QB play is overemphasized, every QB is only as good as his O-line and his receivers. Trent Dilfer was ok, extremely safe, but not exactly our key to winning the Super Bowl. All kinds of TE's might have big games against us, Gates has owned us about every time we play them. Tavares Gooden might be a good matchup against those guys.
