Thoughts On The Cards?

10 posts in this topic

The game wasn't close until the 4th quarter, we were up by 17.

Then, a combination of things happened.

Our pass-rush was nullified (thanks to some blatant holding) and Kurt Warner picked on our 3rd and 4th string CBs

Honestly, it reminded me of the old Cardinals. Running up the stats late in the game

I'm MILDLY wearly of them as I feel the Steelers, as a team, are still feeling out thier new offense and coaching staff. So no one to keep an eye on then? Were you guys able to disrupt ML or is he just a mess?

ML got harassed from the intros on. He reminds me of Bledsoe my his immobility.

That's what I saw during the 49ers/cards game. Thanks.

ML was sacked 4 times against us (i think) and he had to rush basically every throw he tried to get off, our defense was all over him....we were up by 17, then Warner came in and just started finding little holes and throwing the ball in that area to the receiver, completing the pass and picking up first down after first down picking on our back up CB's therefore resulting in blown coverages and they were able to move the ball, i would expect the Card's to continue to bring in Warner from here on out, seeing how he was the Only one who managed to do something with the football lol

They're starting ML. Whiz will have something special planned for us, but that may be with his defense. In any event they revealed what they may do with KW last week so it can be game planned for. I'm surprised you guys didn't get to him, but I did hear there were some holds not called. I'm not too concerned. Thanks again.

I caught bits and pieces of the game but honestly curious, did Warner's handling of the no-huddle maybe throw Baltimore off or wear them down a bit?

I think it threw Baltimore off. You also forget a lot of the secondary was playing out of position due to injuries due to Rolle being ill and Trevor Pryces broken wrist. Because of Pryces injury I believe there was lees pass rush. Wisenhunt also knows the Ravens after playing them twice a year.

we got to warner, he was often Hit immediately after getting rid of the football, when he was in the game, he had to had VERY quick decisions on where tp throw the football, because our Defense (even without Pryce and what not) were bearing down on him (so to speak) yes i agree there was a little less pass rush with Pryce being out, but we still put on the pressure for them haha....Thank you Ray Lewis (at the end of the game!) for sealing the deal!
