If we tag him again this year the chances of losing him next year and not getting anything in return could be high. It hurts to say this but if we can't get him signed... do we franchise him and make a trade for someone who will sign a long term deal?

If he leaves next year anyway and signs with someone else that how do we benefit this year by keeping him? I guess I just have frustration boiling over with Mase retiring and McNair..

Were you negotiating with Suggs that you could just say that with no evidence or whatsoever? Suggs must be pretty dumb if he refused to sign a great deal for 3 straight years. Something that would make a little more sense would be that the Ravens continue to lowball him, like last year when they tagged him as a linebacker even though he plays DE mostly.
