Nfl Net Qb Challenge 1998

17 posts in this topic

I'm sitting here watching the 1998 QB Challenge on NFL Net and I have counted 6 QB's in this challenge that have played for the Raven's in the past. At the time of the challenge Raven's QB Jim Harbaugh, Titan's S. McNair, Chief's E. Grbac, Steeler's K. Stewart, Lion's S. Mitchelle and Buccaner's T. Dilfer. Who was your favorite QB of the past?

I'm going to have say that my favorite is the guy we won the Super Bowl with.

I was watching that too. I don't remember Scott Michell. All the seasons with these starting quarterback we pretty sad. Except 2006 with McNair and 2000 with Dilfer. I would say McNair was my favorite of those.

Of those, I think my favorite was Jim Harbaugh. But i'd have to say that my favorite Ravens quarterback of the early days I'd have to go with Vinny Testaverde, the Ravens have yet to have that kind of production on offense that they had in those days.

Of those guys, McNine was my favorite easily. Always loved Steve, made my day when we brought him over.
If you mean ANY qb of the past, it's a toss up between Marino and Steve Young.

For the Ravens? Steve McNair.
Of all quarterbacks? Johnny Unitas. Then Joe Montana.

edited because apparently I wasn't thinking straight yesterday...

McNair because he showed that this team could be good offensivley and not just ride the coattails of the defense like Dilfer and crew did.

You all aren't respecting the shoes Dilfer fill in the 2000 season. While majority of the starters at the time would have been able to win with that defense, they didn't. It was Dilfer who lead the team and you should admire that. Dilfer did enough to win, I would prefer him over Elvis Grbac that replaced him the next year.
