It would be a classy move, but not sure if it's appropriate if some of the rumors are true. Not saying the guy deserved to die at all, but it's walking a fine line to honor him at a game considering what he was up to.

I wish there was a wider variety of emoticons to show how I feel right now.

Don't you understand that everybody makes mistakes? I'm sure you done some things that you regret.

How about we kick Kansas City butt in his honor?
[/quote]Works for me! :)

Or if we win the Super Bowl, dedicate the win to his memory. After all, he joined the Ravens with the intent of winning a Super Bowl, and came close just as he did with the Titans, only to fall short again. It'd only be appropriate for Derrick Mason and Samari Rolle to want to share with one of their closest friends the one thing that had always eluded him.

I think they will at the least wear a #9 sticker on their helments. Mason and Rolle may wear a patch and I see the Ravens having a moment of silence at their first home game but I don't see much else. He only played 2 seasons with us, not enough IMO to iunduct him into the ring of honor.

he led us to our best season record.... that might account for something.

i could see them putting a 9 or few on the field.... or put it in the emblem in the middle of the field like the redskins did with sean taylor

Since I have a number 9 jersey that's a Raven one..McNair did play for the Baltimore Ravens...The near fact that he brought us back to being number 1 in 06 with almost a flawless season...I think that deserves some type of recognition....
He also retired in a Raven Jersey on and held a Raven prep Rally last year....

I think the Ravens will definately to something for McNair. Even if it's just a moment of silence, or a video tribute. The Ravens are a classy organization and Mac 9 was a classy guy. To me it doesn't matter that he was only here for 2 seasons, he was a part of the Ravens Family not matter how beif, and his memory will be honored.

I don't know if they will go as far as wearing #9 patches, but i definately see the Ravens doing something. I wouldn't be surprise to see the players make up some shirts and wear them under their Jerseys.

I think the Titans will definately do something big for the McNair family. Depending on how far the Family is trying to go, I think having his Son's as honorary captians or putting his Jersey in their Ring of Honor. Week 2 will be a tough one for the Titans Family.

I agree that we should do something especially since alot of Ravens were friends with him including Rolle who was with him most of his career

We should retire his number for the season.

no we shouldnt...I get dedicating a game but that is a little to far, he only with us for 2 seasons and one of them he was hurt.

As long as we don't play with 10 people on the field like the Redskins did... oh wait, it is the Chiefs. XD

I don't think any number for the Ravens will be retired until the numbers 75 and 52 are retired.

Now if the Titans wanted to retire #9 i could understand. But in my opinion the Ravens doing it would be over the top and only because the man died.

didn't the redskins end up winning that game.... granted for us it would be hard to play w/o a QB lol

Nope they lost the game because Joe Gibbs called 2 straight time outs and gave the Bills an easy field goal to win the game.
