how on earth could you claim foxworth to be an 88, they adjusted all the ratings guys!!! so that the average nfl player is no longer an 85-88 but a 75-80 and the bench players are like 60s. Foxworth has a whopping 4 career INTs...and its not Asomugha syndrome there its cuz he was a backup in Denver and he only started 10 games in hotlanta. Foxworth is lucky to be an 82, as him and Washington had identical seasons with Washington have a slight edge in passes defensed.

40 speed and football speed does have a strong relationship. Very rare someone who runs 4.4 is slow and a 4.8 fast. Regardless the ratings seem a little off.

Since I don't play online, the rating really don't bother me that much. I'll just make some adjustments to make it more realistic. However, I'm also not going to get all depressed and pissed off about the ratings until I have the game and have tried it out.

It does not really matter. If you can play Madden you can play and win regardless of what your team is rated as! I'm not the best but I know I have a win online with every team on Madden.

Think about it this way, Suggs ran a 4.8 and Boss Bailey ran a 4.4, so while Bailey might be the faster track sprinter on a rubber track Suggs plays faster on the turf. You are right though, they havent fully implemented reaction times and wasted motion so its all about speed. The better the player the faster his speed rating.

now that is pathetic, lowest rated wide receiver huh? what about the rookie that have NEVER played a down of football in the NFL. Figurs isn't the greatest but he is certainly no 39. He only had 1 opporatunity to catch a pass last year and he make it a TD, hello?

I'm sure they will have updates, and I think the ratings in Franchise mode are easier to increase then in past Maddens

On the new systems 08' was the best, 09' took a serious turn for the worst. The running game and defensive play was unrealistic. For the better defensive player A.I. should be a little skewed in there favor. In 08', I play better defense with Seahawks than Ravens. Seneca Wallace is better than Hasselback in the game. I will try a friends before I purchase.
