Man it took me forever to find this through search after search...finally...

The Ravens got the shaft again. Reed is still a 99, Landry is a 77 ouch, our stud rookie Oher a 77, our secondary outside of Reed 99, and Fox 82, gets no love. McClain is our best offensive player at 92, they felt sorry for us because they raped everyone else, so they give our beast RB now turned FB right? a huge rating. Guess well have to use him like we used to JLew. Sizzle 90, Ray Ray 97, Joe Flacco 81.

Landry is slow as hell. Gonna have to start Zibby. Too bad you can't check out the QB's and what their arm strength and accuracy looks like. Still wondering about Flacco's strength.

It will be interesting to see how it plays with the adjusted ratings. With these ratings I think if we sim a season we're going to go 5-11. Overall it's just been horrible.

Max Starks better than Gaither? really?

The EA development team changed the ratings so they more resemble Madden 01. Theyve stretched the ratings out so average players who were around 85 will now be around 70 and the worst players who were around 70 will be rated sub 50.

Elite players stay the same however, this is supposedly to better showcase the difference between elite players and 3rd string players. Before a 75 WR in the slot with speed could easily play like an elite WR, now like in real life speed is no longer the most important deciding factor in how well a WR plays.

[/quote]Correct. In addition, the ratings themselves will constantly adjust in a season based on performance, in addition to how well they fit on a team based on how they play (similar to how NFL Head Coach 09's rating system worked.)

If you think our team ratings are bad, you should check out the other teams, we are great compared to the other teams. Our Full Team Roster will drop in about a week from now, they started out in the NFC North and they are ending it in the NFC East before they head to the AFC starting with the AFC North(they are on the NFC East right now!

I would say we have a Top5-8 team based off the ratings!

I think off memory we are rated 11th. Basically if you sim a season, even with the final roster update of 09 we always sink to the bottom of our division. It shows you the ratings balance is out of our favour.

Secondly in terms of the game adjusted ratings it's still about speed as someone said, for example if youre a first round MLB and run a 4.5 you can expect an 85 speed rating, if youre a 6th round MLB and run a 4.5 you can expect a 65 speed rating.

Exactly and overall, we have the fastest defence on the game! Raiders secondary is fast and only one fast LB(Howard), Cowboys secondary is fast but they dont have a fast LB and other than those two teams, no other team matches up in speed overall like we do. Steelers LB core has speed but is slow in the secondary with the exception of Troy P. and Taylor who is 88 speed! We have fast LB's(Lewis-83, Suggs-83, Gooden-82, McClain-80, Barnes-86) and a fast secondary(Fabian-98, Dominique-93, Webb-93, Reed-93), best combination of speed for a defense on the game!

Gooden speed should be alot higher(87-89) and Suggs speed should be higher(85-87) and Barnes is alright with 86 speed which should be higher also!

Thats what I was saying but it's suppose to be positional ratings so I can only guess that 83 speed for an OLB is faster than 83 speed for a MLB. If this is not the case, Suggs defintely got raped!

barnes is faster than suggs and tavares is the fastestLB on the team. Plus Carr is 91 speed. Suggs was a 92 when he was just rushing the passer and ever since he became a complete plyer he was a 88 then 89 then 90 and now a 90 again that just bull on the way aroung madden on d only care about sacks. No one goes up for Pd's or pressures.

Personally I dont care about the players speed, especially if the faster players are rated so low or special teamers. I think we deserve a team rating higher than 11th overall.

I hear ya but Madden has been dominated by speed in past years.

I want yall opinion on something, I just joined a franchise league for Madden 10 and I was just offered Chad OchoCinco for Oher and 2010 2nd round draft pick. I have the Ravens by the way. Was it a good move?

Yes, for Madden. But shame on you for trading with the Bungles!

Edit: Actually, no... you shouldnt do it. Chad 85'O is rated pretty low and is getting pretty old.

I wouldn't do it. Oher can be your franchise tackle and Chad Johnson (i refuse to call him by that other name) is getting old. You can get a good receiver in the 2nd round if you need one. Or trade the 2nd rounder for a younger receiver. :)

Thanks for the input fellas. Bullrush, the only reason I went through with it b/c we have good depth at the O-Line position. Other than that, it would have been a no go!Clayton or Mason in the slot with Ocho on one side combined with Heap in the middle equals great O and D with the Ravens. Also, I did the trade b/c I want instant success now. I want Ray to win him another one before he retires! B)

Jessica I don't know how to break it to you but they all match up. It's just a formality that you don't see it in color on that madden link. There's no need for a tantrum....

A 77 rating on Madden 10 is about the equivalent of a rating of 85 on Madden 09. All the player ratings average out to 70 now so if Landry has been given a 77 rating (above average) after a year on IR I think thats a fair call.

Just checked out our ratings.

- Figurs got a 39 overall.
- Clayton with a 77 and his speed isn't that good either. Not sure what EA did last year, they probably didn't watch him play.
- Flacco kept his 97 arm strength but his accuracy is below average. Should have been in the early 80s at least. But his OVR would have been better than Ryan's i guess and EA can't do that of course. Ryan is their golden boy.
- Willie Anderson?
- Suggs got a 90. Speed is just ok, should have been 85+. Acceleration is great (95), he's strong (almost a 90 in strength) and a solid tackler. EA pretty much nailed that one.
- JJ is useless. No speed, no nothing.
- Gotta move Barnes over from the right side to start opposite Suggs. 85+ speed, 90+ acceleration, that sounds about right.
- Gooden with a 65. Should have been around mid 70.
- Koch got a 98 in accuracy.
- Hauschka has a big leg (94).
- Ngata is a 90 overall but if you move him back to DT his OVR will probably go up in the mid 90s. He has to be the strongest (97) and biggest DE in Madden. :D
- Pryce with an 83.
- Gregg with a 77.
- Bannan with a 74. Except for Ngata those are some horrible ratings for our D-Line.

If you want to download the complete ratings you can do that tonight on EAs website:
