Soooo the 2000 Ravens set the record for fewest points allowed in a season, fewest rushing yards allowed in a season, had the defense player of the year, hall of famer Rod Woodson, shut out 4 opponents during regular season (1 shutout less than the record) and allowed an almost NFL record 23 points in the playoffs/superbowl... and we're 3rd best of all time?

I guess that's because the 1976 steelers had a BEAST of a season (played one of the hardest schedules, while we played of the easiest), and the 1985 bears held almost half their regular season opponents to 10 points or less, including shutting out the divional and nfc championship opponents- then in the superbowl only allowed 7 yards rushing.

So I guess... in a sense- 3rd fits us perfectly.

I watched this on the NFL Network like 3-4 times(They always show reruns), we were ranked #6 of all time. The reason why we weren't ranked higer was b/c of the competition we faced, mainly the QB's!

I think we should be #2 because of our amazing playoff run.

The Steelers didn't win a championship that year, therefore, they weren't better than us.

#1 85 Bears
#2 00 Ravens

Not sure how the hell the Steelers got ahead of us and even the Bears. But i guess NFL Network needs to create some controversy so that people talk about this list.

I agree, we should be #2. I can't remember a Super Bowl team that had a worse offense than we had that year. '85 Bears were just downright nasty.

yea i saw tha we were ranked 7th on the top ten defenses show and i was like what???!!! this is freaking rediculous!! we were one spot better than the 2002 Bucs!! WHAT!!!??? THE 2002 BUCS!!!??? And then it shows Rod Woodson and he says number 7?? Thats about right or I'll take that or something like that and I was shocked. Maybe its just because he played for the Steelers and didnt really care about the Ravens like he did Pissburgh...........................................................7TH??!!! The 2002 BUCS??!!!

the only reason the steelers would be ahead of us would be for how long their D played well....
not to mention the noticably larger fan base between the steelers and the ravens..... if they put it the other way around, there might be riots in the streets...

however i believe we should be in the top 2.... only one that rightfully should be higher than us.... the 85 bears
