The Ravens have put up some impressive numbers if you think about it... And to think this is one of the youngest franchises in Football.

I can agree with that top five list.

We are in some good company.

I can't completely agree with the top five. The Eagles who have lost a Superbowl in the last decade are rated higher than a team who has won it?

But overall in this decade their consistency is incredible, 7 Playoff appearances, 5 Championship games and 1 Superbowl appearance.

I know they haven't won a Superbowl but in terms of Season performances over this decade they deserve their place above us in the top 5 IMO!!

I'm sorry, but a team that has ZERO Super Bowls (not just this decade, but ever!) and a LOWER playoff win percentage does not deserve to be ranked above the Ravens!

It is the NFC East bias, the cowboys are rated above us and they have not won a playoff game, plus they only have a few more wins than us.

I don't think you clicked on the link. Cowboys are at the bottom where they belong...... Look again. I am still confused on the Eagles being above us.

Just saw that by "us" you meant the falcons.

I'm on my blackberry doing this so I didn't notice that, but in the future I wanted use "us" on a Ravnes forum and not mean THE RAVENS :)

Agree. The fact that they made the nfc championship like 4 years in a row is ridiculous. They deserve to be up there. And its not like this article is an opinion. He took all the wins and playoff games and stuff and put them into a formula to decide who was the best. So it's hard to disagree with numbers.

So how about the Giants? They only have three less wins than us, 1 more playoff appearance and they have been to 2 Superbowls winning 1 of them!

Do you think that justifies them going above us in the list?

Or what if we had lost the Superbowl, would the Bucs be regarded a better overall team this decade in your opinion?

I'm a die hard Ravens fan but when I think back over this decade I know the Eagles have been a better overall Team regardless of Superbowl wins.

They have only had 1 losing record this decade, we've had 3, we've missed the playoffs 4 times, they have missed out twice, they have been to 5 Championship games, we've been to 2, we've both been to the Superbowl where we won and they lost.

That Superbowl win makes a difference but not enough over the course of a decade to make us the "better" Team over the whole decade.

I'm happy with being #5 in the list, I think it's a great achievement!

If we go 14-2 and win the Super Bowl and the Steelers go 2-14, we can leap frog the Steelers in the rankings. The AFC North team of the Decade. Wouldn't that piss off the Steeler fans. ;)

Nice list and I like the results. I think 5 is a great ranking. I also like how the writer said that the numbers cut through all the hype to place the Cowboys low. I really liked that. :)

I like the fact it was determined using a mathematical equation, and not just someones biased opinion. Had it been personal opinion I don't think the Ravens would have made the top 10.

The Ravens could move up even more on that list if they won more consistently year to year.

With a consistent qb that will help.

Yep. I'm not ready to put him in the HOF but I'm confident that Flacco will be one of the best QB's Baltimore has ever seen.

Agreed. He doesn't need to be a hall of famer for our team to win. But I wouldn't mind if he was. Either way, Flacco brings hope the Ravens offense.

All he needs is 8 more wins and he will be.

I agree, I dont care how many more regular season victories they have more than us. We have a Lombardi Trophy, and they dont.

He has already surpassed any Baltimore Raven QB. The test of time will show if Flacco can be our savior and be comprable to the bronze statue outside of our stadium. For you people who havent been to a game, that would be Sir Johnny Unitas.

I'm a bit surprised we were the 5th, especially with our overall stats (defense obviously got us this spot).

2000: 12-4 Superbowl Win
2001: 10-6 Lost AFC Divisional
2002: 7-9 Missed Playoffs
2003: 10-6 Lost AFC Wildcard
2004: 9-7 Missed Playoffs
2005: 6-10 Missed Playoffs
2006: 13-3 Lost AFC Divisional
2007: 5-11 Missed Playoffs
2008: 11-5 Lost AFC Championship

Record: 83-61 (58%)
Made playoffs: 5/8 times

Actually... that's not all that bad :P
