Well, I take back a little bit of my initial feedback. Aesthetically, I still love the new look. But in terms of functionality, I'm having issues loading pages on the board now; keep in mind, it was running fine this morning on this computer (my work computer), but on this same machine, it's now having issues with scripts in Internet Explorer. We're not allowed to run Firefox or anything else, so I'm not sure if that's the case with any other browser.

Other than that, I'm loving the idea of a reputation system, and I like the general accessibility of the site. The only thing visually that I would change is how the thread titles look a bit mashed together in each forum section.

The upgrade will be ongoing for the next day or so. New features, etc., will continue to be added during that time. Right now you're not seeing the final product.

I just don't know why websites have to fix something when it's not broken. Facebook does it every other week than you got youtube, who really doesn't change it's formats and I think people love that fact.

i love the idea behind the "reputation points," but im not a big fan of being able to add points to your own posts.. i think it kind of defeats the purpose b/c im sure theres going to be some people who'll turn it into a competition and try and rack up points by i guess you could call it voting for yourself.. your thoughts about yourself dont really have anything to do with your reputation.. just my 2 cents

[/quote]I don't think there'll be a whole lot of people who take reputation points seriously; sure, there'll be a couple, but nothing that'll get out of hand. I think it'll just be a good gauge of who consistently delivers posts that [i]contribute[/i], rather than people who just add nothing to the conversation.

[/quote]I think part of the reason it was done was so as to integrate the board into the main website more. The main issue I always had with the message board was that it looked and felt distinctly separate from the main website. Newer members often didn't know that the board was actually the [i]official[/i], Ravens-endorsed one, despite the title.

Additionally, it'll help newer members understand why the Code of Conduct is the way it is; the NFL has a certain standard of sportsmanship and good behavior it wants to promote, in spite of the product on the field. (But that topic is a discussion for another day/thread.)

Being apprehensive to change is human nature. I don't think I have once liked changes made to a blog/forum/message board initially, but you eventually adjust and appreciate the tweaks.

There actually aren't any real changes at all.

I was wondering when they were going to do an upgrade. I like it! It's much cleaner and neater than the previous version. My only complaint is that the Raven Talk page with all the links is a bit confusing. Probably because its so white..
