That Captain Patch? I Am Confused About Them This Year.

I noticed every team it seems in the NFL have about 5-6 Captain patches they chose to gives I guess to the best players on the team this year. Why do the Ravens not participate in this? any idea. The last two games I was trying to catch a shot of Ray and Reed and McNair who I would figure would have them on and they don't, so it seems as if the Ravens didn't get chosen or whats the deal with them this year?.

It's up to the individual teams whether to participate in the patch thing or not-I haven't noticed any Ravens with a patch, so I'm guessing the team isn't doing it.

If our defense had captain patches then they would single out players on our team. On offense this may not mean much but on defense thats like a telegram to the opposing QB of where key players in our defense are. its smart of the Ravens not to wear them because it would be easier to see where they are on the field and what they may be up to lol

You know what that is actually an ok idea. But it's not like they don't know who most of our key players are anyways. And everything is so fast once the balls snapped I don't think there going to look for the captain patch when the RB has the ball and is running with it.

im sure they can account for some of them most of the time but im talking about serious competition such as Manning, Palmer, and other pre-snap adjustment quarterbacks who make sure EVERYONE is accounted for. At least without the patch there MIGHT be a chance they don't pick on on them but with them its , like I said, a calling card for whats comin up. Sure, once play starts the patches won't matter but the pre-play setup by those kind of quarterbacks can (and would) be simplified by using them, taking away some of the advantages of our Organized Kaos
