Why Purple Why Not Seattle Blue

I dont really like purple and i love blue so i guess thats why im asking this question why who ever made our jersey's purple not make them blue i mean picture ed reed taking a pick 100 + yards in a blue ravens jersey [by the way the seattle's blue]. I really wish the jerseys was blue like the seahawks but any way i guess my question is if you could change the ravens purple to the color and the same design as any other team in the nfl what teams color and design would you pick ?

Oh yea by the way i like seattles blue colored jerseys for people who didn't know lol !

I say Oakland black/silver all the way. Black intimidates, and Oakland no longer deserve to wear it haha

that would be terrible. although a lot of people think purple is kinda.......you know.....gay, i love it and would hate it if the colors ever changed.

Although, there are a lot of these threads that pop up during the season. Not as plentiful, but they are there. You will never escape pointless messages on message boards I suppose.

I like our colors too, but I've always preferred the purple on white instead of purple on black. Don't get me wrong, I like the black too, but I actually prefer it the way it is.

Does anyone else think it's strange to ask why [b]Baltimore[/b] Ravens don't wear [b]Seattle[/b] blue?

the color of a ravens feathers are niether black nor purple to the naked eye however its one of the few colors among avian that seems to change with the lighting on the bird in truth the feather is concidered a purple on the black hue of the spectrum hence the reason for both

The Seahawks have those colors because Seattle is the "Emerald city."

The Ravens got their name for Edgar Alan Poe's stories. And he was a native of Baltimore (common knowledge, I know). A Raven is black w/ a purple tinge at certain angles and in certain light. Their colors are exactly what they should be IMO.

It's not like we are rocking flamboyantly girly girl purple. Our colors are pretty cool, it is like a midnight purple. I like it. The reason we chose Purple is because besides black, that is the closest color to an actual Raven.
