Why No Mason Talk

36 posts in this topic

Well first there both good players i wont say great but there both good players at there positions but like said above suggs is young wat is he 26 to mason who is 35 going on 36 this year. So it kind of makes sense to get the younger 1 but you are right topic starter we are already hurting at wr and to not take care your best and only reciever doesn't make sense. But i guess ozie knows what he's doing or he should be fired.
It includes ALL points scored, Special teams and defense included. Seeing how we had the second most defensive TDs in the league if my memory serves me correctly our ranking of 11th in scoring is kind of inflated. Especially considering our redzone offense was so bad.

I see a bunch of threads on why we need to sign suggs. Has everyone forgotten about Mason or just take him for granted ? We desperately need him healthy and happy. He is our Offense when it comes to the receivers. I know everyone thinks he is no Boldin or Marshall but he is the BEST we have and has been a great receiver his entire career and after the perfomance he gave all last season while being hurt shows he is commited. So i hope you dont mind me saying this but here goes.

Screw Suggs and Sign Mason !!

Because if we cannot get a hard 3rd and 10 and cannot keep the offense on the field we will never stand a chance against teams like Indy or Pitt. Thats the honest truth.
I like Mason. He does something that's great for the team and bad for him though... He shuts up and plays. He leads by being a gregarious, knowledgeable and 100-mph player. He mentors. He sacrifices. He goes above and beyond and expects little for it. He's the kind of guy you love to play with or coach with. Sadly, these types of players often get underpaid.

Edit: Squeakly wheel gets the oil. Mason is not a squeaker.

By not scoring i mean from on any spot on the field. 11th is great for offense for us but we need to be able to outplay the steelers right. I get so tired of hearing on NFL network that the team to beat is the Steelers. Just last night i watched a 20 minute piece on why they are the beast of our division. .
Sign both! They both are extremely valuable to this team in multiple ways. It's hard to overstate their value.
I'm with you on this, both are key to their respective sides of the ball.
