Daniel Wilcox

He is talking about no longer being with the Ravens and how he just didn't get the looks he used to. Made a good point on how he was targeted only 7 times but brought it in 7 times and even had 2 scores. I really feel bad for Wilcox because he was a cool dude and very loyal to the franchise. I mean he freakin got married at the stadium and had his own blog on the website. Not sure why we let him go and signed someone like LJ who is 100x more injury prone than wilcox.

Yeah, Wilcox was extremely dedicated to this time, I'm sure he wouldn't have asked for an exuberant amount of coin. Hey, if he's healthy, we're kind of short on TEs right now..

Dan Wilcox was a good asset for our team for years, but it was time to move on. I really think that Cam Cameron wanted to get L.J. Smith so that we can focus on more traditional blocking schemes and open up the field more for Joe's big arm. I do think that Wilcox was a great guy with good character and his blocking will be missed, but I have no qualms about us not resigning him.

I agree wilcox was a cool dude. I remember how interactive he was with us fans in training camp, talking with a down-to-earth style. yea i miss him

Wilcox is a great guy but you can only have so many TE's on your roster. He wasn't going to make it over Heap, Smith or Sypniewski. He's getting up there in age (32), he's short, he's not big, he's slow, he can't block and he's not the best special teamer out there. I feel bad for him because it seemed like he enjoyed playing for us and he had his blog on this site and everything. Oh well.

Lj's contract is not as heavy as Wilcox's contract would have been.....Also LJ has only 1 year to prove himself...Basically it is what it is...
