Peerman has signed a 3 year deal. Hopefully the rest of the guys will be signed before training camp.
what about big Mike? Nothing on him yet?
He will take a little longer. We usually sign our 1st rounders right before training camp starts. Negotiations have started but they are a lot more complicated than for players drafted in the later rounds. Those guys will sign for anything :D

Word! I kind of figured that, the higher profile guys have more money on the line. Either way, I'd take a 78k bonus and about 600k per year (though I know its not 100 percent gonna happen).

And even though we wont sign Oher for a little while, he still says he is going to practice. Which is important for him learning. I like his attitude and committment to the team.
The Ravens signed two more draft picks, locking linebacker Jason Phillips and running back Cedric Peerman into three-year contracts on Wednesday.

Baltimore also released cornerbacks Anwar Phillips and David Jones.

Jason Phillips and Peerman join tight end Davon Drew among the Class of 2009 to sign their rookie deals. The Ravens have begun contract negotiations with first-round offensive tackle Michael Oher.

Phillips, selected in the fifth round (137th overall) can provide the Ravens with depth at the middle linebacker position, where he anchored a stout defense at Texas Christian University. The 6-foot, 236-pounder is the only player in Mountain West Conference history to earn four consecutive All-MWC honors after leading the team in tackles for three out of his four seasons.

That late? Did Mark Sanchez just his contract the other day? And he was a higher pick than ours.
I digress.... I want Kruger to sign, just because of his name. XD

Kurt Warner was a 27 year old rookie... I know that it has nothing to do with the conversation, but it interesting nonetheless.

Rob McCune (who we should've kept) was a 27 year old rookie. He also served in Iraq, like this guy. I heard a lot of reports saying that McCune was a good influence on the team because he had so much life experience and he was a 'big picture guy'.

Jason Philips to spell the ILB corps since he's the only true ILB other than TGood and Ray Lew. Peerman as a change-of-pace speed RB, should be nice

Well, he's 245. Plenty bigger than Gooden.

there are no guarentees in the nfl.....he can be gone tomorrow

They probably signed him to a 3 year 1.3 million contract with a $30K bonus

If he does well...he gets to be on special teams and the occasional play from scrimmage

If he is average......they make room on the practice squad and let him learn the ropes

If he somehow doesn't meet expectations.....he's got a spot at the podium preaching the word of

god in rural Va.

He must be one of the people who would have rather us reached for a WR in every round.
