I think a lot of people overrate players based on their 40 yard dash time. Anyone that has played football in High School+, would know that 40 yard dash is all technique. It's not like getting out of a three point or two point stance. Your starting position is almost more important than your actual speed (when it comes to the 40).

Also, I would like to point out that many players look slow/injured before TC because many of them have certain cases like tendonitous or arthritis in their joints. So don't base it just on the beginning of the year, I hate it when people do that (mainly high school coaches)
when's the last time you saw a WR leaving from 3 point stance? :P
Breaux's probably a poor man's Clarence Moore, but we shall see.

You could be 8'5", 500 lbs., run a 4.0 40 and have a 45" vertical like David Thompson, but if you can't play ball, you can't play ball.
Fred Sanford is a poor mans Bill Cosby :P

Moore was 6'6.
I think Devard was 6'2 or something in that region.
Tommy Breaux also has impressive measurable(s)?, checking in at 6-foot-7 and 199 pounds. A former basketball and football player for Towson University, Breaux ran a 40 in 4.47 seconds and had a 35 1/2-inch vertical leap. This is also Breaux

Todd Heap was a multi-sport player also. Both Basketball and Football.
Last winter Heap took his athleticism to the hardwood, following in the footsteps of his grandfather Theo and great uncle Verl, both of whom played basketball for Arizona State in the 1940s. In limited action Heap emerged as a crowd favorite for his hustle and bruising work under the boards. ~ http://vault.sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vau...20579/index.htm October 9, 2000
I can hear the crowd at M&T chanting "BREEEEAAAAAUUUUX! (pronounced Bro)" already.

It just seems like a very chantable (if that is a word) name like "HEEAAP!" or "FLACCO, FLACCO!" No other reason. I would rather see him do well, than bringing in some whiney diva (Marshall or Boldin) from another team to the Ravens. Besides, I like rooting for the underdog and this sounds like it could be an "Invincible" type of story.

Kid from a local I-AA college does good, sounds much better than whiney thug gets paid millions in trade.

Agreed. Really, people put too much emphasis on measurables and fail that true talent can only be recognized by what players do on the field. Kind of like how after we didn't get DHB, everyone was all excited about picking up Eron Riley just cuz he was a DHB clone...I mean come on, there's a reason the dude went undrafted....

I go to Towson and watched this guy play. He's pretty good but I wouldn't say he's anything that jumps off the page. He'll most likely be sent to the practice squad...
