This brings up another trend in laptops, getting less expensive and becoming another throw away item in society. It's now getting about as
economical to just buy a new laptop rather than fix and older one.

I recently made the same move, and its been awesome! Im sitting on the couch with my feet up I also have a Compaq, they're great machines!
