I'm Tired Of...
It wasn't always as simple as rolling your eyes and moving on. There were times when people would try to start a thread on any subject, say for example "John Harbaugh," and then someone would start going on about how much he and Ozzie needed to work on getting Boldin. That is not cool and I agree with everyone who told people to "let it go already!"

I see your point. My problem is mostly with people that rudely tell a new poster that the topic has already been discussed and they should just shut up - not their exact words, but I think you know the posts I'm talking about. Especially with new posters, this did not make this seem like a friendly board to join and may have deterred some people from hanging around. If the person is merely starting a new thread or continuing an existing one, then the posts can be ignored if you're not interested and I think they should be left alone. If, however, they are hijacking multiple other threads, I can certainly see the frustration and why someone would let those people know that there is a better thread for that discussion.
...I don't want to hi-jack this thread, though so I'll get back to the topic at hand...
I thought this was the topic?

And before you think I'm picking on you, darklight, I want you to know how impressed I am with how much information you have picked up in the short time since you've become a fan. Very impressive.

After we've been reading ten million Boldin threads, the next person was likely to get their head ripped off and that is a lousy "welcome to the boards."
Lol, but I bet I was guilty of doing that myself a couple of times. XD
I thought this was the topic?
Oh ehh, maybe... I thought it was about people worrying about the state of the franchise, so I was trying to get back to that, but I've been wrong before.

Thank you! :D
I am not sure why people say leonard was just a first year guy. Yes he was but always being around the ball and that is great instincts. As much as Reed throws his body around what would it have hurt to keep leanord as the back up ?
Because after last season he'd be able to get starter money on another team. Surprisingly good backups always jump ships so they can ride the wave and get more money. Why pay more money for him to simply be a backup?

I'm tired of everyone acting like they DON'T want Boldin. That's like saying you DIDN'T want to replace Kyle Boller. We all know it's just completely false. You all can't hide in your denial, because we all see the truth.
thats where we disagree... i think an elite "hybrid" OLB is harder to come by than a DLman in a 4-3... suggs fits our system perfectly, and especially with teams around the NFL adopting 3-4 systems, his stock will only go up, making him harder and harder to sign

and on a side note, haynesworth's deal is ridiculous.. there is no way the skins let him play out that contract. he'll be cut after 4 or 5 years and thus end up losing something like 35 mil from that 100mil contract.. just because there is that little piece of paper saying they have to pay him 100 mil over 7 years doesnt mean they have to keep him around and pay him every penny... ray lewis just signed a 7 year contract and if anyone thinks he'll be playing LB in the NFL at the age of 41, they're crazy.. he'll most likely end up playing 3 years and making about half of the 44 mil he signed for... thats just the way the NFL works

i know money is tight throughout the organization this year, but signing suggs long term would actually clear cap space by avoiding the franchise tag.. i wouldnt mind seeing suggs signed for 65-75 mil over 6-7 years, especially if the NFL goes uncapped for a year or two, we wont be able to get into a bidding war with the dan snyders' and jerry jones' around the league.. i dont think ANY player is worth $100mil, but i firmly believe suggs is worth top DE money, but again... this is just my humble opinion
Could not agree with your more. Suggs deserves to be signed, and if we don't we will regret that.

We got lucky when we let Adalius Thomas go, and then we might not be hurt that badly by the departure of Bart Scott. But Terrell Suggs? A team only gets lucky in letting a star player go, so many times...
Exactly.

My pet peeves:

1. One poster telling another poster that they can't/shouldn't bring up a topic because it has already been discussed and the first poster is tired of it.

2. One poster declaring a thread "closed" or "finished" or whatever, just because their point of view has been expressed... as in... "And with that, this thread is finished." I'm am amused, however, at the plethora of replies I read after that, ignoring that sentiment.
and with that, this thread is finished...

nice swift kick DarkKnight! I want every elite player in the league, that doesn't mean it's going to happen.
