What Team Would You Play For?

92 posts in this topic

Just like the title says, what NFL team would you play for and why?

It doesn't matter whether you consider ownership or the current roster or any outside factors -- you pick the team, you pick the reasons. Also, you can throw out real-life restrictions like physical attributes or gender or anything else of that nature that would prevent you from playing in the NFL; this is hypothetical, after all. And, of course you can't pick the Ravens for obvious reasons. (Or your primary NFL team, for those opposing teams' fans who are regulars around these parts) ;)

Here's my partial list:
1) Washington Redskins -- my #2 team because of my family, so naturally, I'd play for them.
2) New England Patriots -- great ownership, great coaching, and it'd be fun to start another dynasty.
3) Houston Texans -- it'd be nice to play alongside the likes of Andre Johnson, Steve Slaton, Mario Williams, and DeMeco Ryans. All great, underrated talent.

I would play for San Francisco. I would like to play for Mike Singletary because you know hes going to push u to the limit. Also, San Francisco is starting to get good again.

I would sign for minimum NFL salary and be happy and never fuss about my contract because i know im already making much more money than the average person. ;)

I would sign for less than the nfl minimum.. Hell, ink me for 50,000-70,000 to ride the bench and ill be happy.. The thrill of being a part of an NFL game is more than enough for me to deal with while maintaining an average salary..

They get a bad rap(deservingly so,but this was well deserved)as the dude that was dressed up as Santa was completely drunk and stumbling around the field/side lines and thats what agitated the crowd into blasting his ******.

Not that he was Santa, but in fact showed up drunk dressed as Santa.

Philly fans are no doubt brutal, but there is no doubting their passion for the team.

Bad Rap? Philly fans boo their teams and coaches in every sport. Donovan McNabb was booed when he was drafted and he has been the best QB out of that draft. I guess eagle fans would have rather had Tim Couch, Akili Smith, or Cade Mcnown. McNabb still gets hated on by eagle fans despite getting to like 4 or 5 NFC Championship games with NO Wide Receivers. I don't think that is a bad rap.

1) New Orlean Saints -- My #1 NFC team and it has a top QB in league.
2) Miami Dolphins -- My #2 AFC team. Plus I love the weather down there.
3) Green Bay Packers -- It's Championship team. Owns most championships more than any other NFL team.(including AFL championships)New

About the McNabb booing it was generated by the idiotic mayor(Rendell)that pushed hard for Ricky Williams and then those idiots showed up at the draft.

Eagle fans are going to really miss McNabb when his career comes to an end as he is a consummate pro and has delivered much more of a winning tradition then their used to.

I've never waivered on McNabb even during the drafting of him.

For all the **** he's been through he deserve a ring and then should tell the Mayor to stick it.

1. The Skins. They'd give me so much damn money. Yay.

2. Dolphins. You're a superstar living in Miami. What could be better?

3. Pittsburgh. Good owner, partisan fans, good history.

Lions- probably my best chance at being a starter

Cards- Love the weather plus the easy division

Bills- because if I clash with TO, my name becomes more well known

Well, being a geography student, you hear about the ridiculous amount of natural disasters that happen in Cali, and it puts you off a bit. I know Miami's not completely immune, but it's not in the same stratosphere really.

If you can run a 4.35 Al Davis will instantly make you a starter on the Raiders.

That's not entirely accurate. If you were to do a comparison of natural disasters between the cities of Miami and San Diego in the last 25 years (or even 100 years), I think Miami has had much more damage caused.

San Diego has the occasional mud slide that takes out a portion of a neighborhood, or the enormous fires that don't always reach housing areas. Miami experiences hurricanes yearly. Hurricane Andrew caused over $40 Billion in damages alone.
