Teams That Excite You The Most In Madden 10

19 posts in this topic

Hey Guys, we all know the release date of Madden 10 (August 14th!) and I'm sure many of you have it pre-ordered by now or will pre-order it. My question to everyone is about the Franchise Mode. Based off the off-season and the draft, which team(other than the Ravens) will you play with in Franchise? A couple teams come to mind, that I would enjoy playing as in Franchise Mode.

- Eagles: Revamped offensive line, new RB in Lesean McCoy, and Jeremy Maclin. I don't know about you but the Eagles seem to be a very interesting team to play as in Franchise. To not worry about a QB, really no holes on the offensive line thanks to the off-season additions, a new reciever in Maclin, I can't see how anyone wouldn't try the Eagles once in Franchise Mode.

- Texans: Everybody is writing them in as a playoff contender this season. I think they got the help needed on defense to make the defense better. They still have Andre Johnson, if Matt Schaub can stay healthy I can't see how they can't be a wild card team. This is a team that also looks good to build up in Madden to a Super Bowl contender. I think really the only hole is the offensive line.

I guess the Giants and Cardinals would be cool to play with. Now I just got myself going, I'm going to play Madden 09. So what teams will you play with on Madden 10 in Franchise based off the off-season additions and the Draft?

for one, i would def. agree w/you on the eagles...gotta love jeremy maclin! and the giants, w/ their big wr hakeem nicks.

but i would also be interested to play the raiders for some reason...if jamarcus pans out and his rating skyrockets, people can do some serious damage with the raiders.

Other than the Ravens, I'm excited to play with the Texans and develop that high-powered offense even more. I'll probably try to upgrade at QB before I get into the regular season, though; Andre Johnson deserves better than Matt Schaub, IMO. Regardless, I'll mold the offense mostly around Steve Slaton.

I'll most likely take control of the Redskins simultaneously and try to fix Daniel Snyder's mess, too.

I wanna try out the Bucs so I can build around Josh Freeman.(Bucs vs. Raiders Superbowl 50 anyone?)

I also wanna try out the Lions and Bears to build their teams too.

I know I'm going to kill the first day on franchise mode alone.

I like to actually play through all my games (including preseason), so since each game takes roughly an hour realtime to complete, I'll probably get through Week 4 or 5 of the regular season on that first day.

I'm really stingy about making sure I have statistical leaders in as many categories as possible, and I try to shoot for milestones (1,000 rushing; 3,000 passing; 1,000 receiving; 10+ sacks, etc.) and I really push to go 19-0 as often as I can. Usually, it'll end up where my defense will be ranked 1st, but then my offense is mediocre (yardage-wise) yet I'll also be one of the league leaders in scoring. I think I play too much to the strengths of the real-life team, where I have a run-first offense that chews up clock time.

You're preaching to the choir bro,I think my Madden glitches because when I have a 95 overall for my team with 94 being offense and 97 being defense I get pissed. They should be sacking qb's,getting pressure, forcing fumbles and getting picks.I have Ed Reed have 1 pick and 20 tackles as my starting saftey and then Dawan Landry somehow gets 100 tackles,I'm like what the heck!

I have to have a 4,000 + yd passer,a 1,500 + rusher,a 1,800+ yd reciever with my TE having 900 yds.
My D-Line better have 10+ sacks each or there all going to be fired.MY Cb's(safties included) better have 5 picks each with the starters having more than 7 or they are fired too.

I'm much more of a defensive guy because I love having to injury the other teams players.

I mean, if I moved Ed Reed back to SS, it might make sense, but there's no reason why SS's should be so instinctive in the game.

I have struggled to have a starting WR gain over 1,000 yards as of late, though. My play style has made me more inclined to throw to slot receivers, and it's always my #3 or #4 receiver getting all the numbers. It's gotten to the point where I've used substitution packages just to let my starters get their share.

As of a couple days ago, I've gotten more saavy with my defense; with the real-life roster as of the final roster update, it's difficult for me to blitz without getting burnt on a pass play. But with the personnel I have now, I've gotten creative with my blitzing (using pre-snap adjustments along with the original play), and I'm having a ball just racking up sacks and forcing picks. I probably won't be able to use it as effectively against a friend, but I'll try that out later tonight.

Raiders are the perfect Madden team. EA still hasn't fixed the fact that if your player doesn't have speed he isn't good which as we know everyone on the raiders has top notch 40 speeds. Most of their lineman could outrun a race car.

They really need to fix the ratings system,I'm doing a franchise with the Bucs and I have Braylon Edwards have 1500 yds recieveing and like 10 tds,and he stays at an 86 overall.I was like this is ridiculous and even when I trained him up to a 88 he dropped back down after putting on another good season! Its gettign annoying.

his size and 93 speed also his awareness is what let c-mac stay with him.
