Banking Firm Looking Over Assets

3 posts in this topic

I'm suprised nobody has posted a thread on this. I was watching Bruce Cunningham just now on FOX 45 and he talked about the possibility of the Rams moving from St. Louis. He said that they will try to sell the team, which could possibily end up moving the team from St. Louis: I have the link on the full story from NFL.com but here are a few tibits which I think are important:

- Goldman Sachs to review the assets of her(Georgia Frontiere) estate, including the NFL team, opening the way for a possible sale of the franchise, the Rams said in a statement Monday.

- Spokesman Ted Crews said the team would have no further comment and declined to say if the move means the Rams are definitely on the sales block.

- The franchise has struggled of late -- the Rams were 2-14 last season and are 5-27 over the past two seasons. Still, Forbes magazine has estimated the value of the franchise at $929 million.

- The Rams aren't going anywhere in the short term. A lease agreement requires the team to remain in the Edward Jones Dome through 2014.

The Rams won't be moving anytime soon but does any think in 2015 we will have the LA Rams?? Give your opinions and thoughts. I'm going to believe LA will have their stadium built by the time the lease is done, we might have played a Super Bowl in that stadium (Instead of going to London; I believe if this stadium is done to where they can bid for the 2014 Super Bowl, they will get it way before London does) and when the lease comes to an end, the LA Stadium will be ready for the Rams Franchise to move in, or move back in.

Wa the stadium that the LA Raiders played in taken down? if nto just use that one....As long as it is a place that doesn't have a NFL team yet like New York, California or Florida.

So Why not like somewhere in Canada? Doesn't The MLB and NBA have a team from Toronto? And the NHL has one from Montreal. I don't see a problem with Canada having a team. Plus this allow fans to be able to travel and play in Canada, NFL is all about expanding the fandom to other countries.
