at least we can try for somebody. If i was but im not Ozzie i would get a pro bowl wideout. Or If not i'll only draft that years no.1 overal wideout nobody less.
Go Ozzie, go... Go to that "pro-bowl wideout tree" and start picking 'em. As we all know, pro-bowl wide-outs come free, and other franchises gives up players if you will them to do so... I'm sure we could get Reggie Wayne or Randy Moss or Fitzgerald, for like a 7th rounder and Figurs. Ahhh.... Too bad we let Corey Ivy go... any team would jump on this deal: Ivy and Figurs for an elite receiver... We would have teams knocking down ours doors, Ozzie would be answering the phones constantly as people would up the bidding. And to top it all, I'm sure they would play for us for a minimum... I mean, we ARE the Ravens, right? I'm sure Fitz would give up his shiny new 10-million a year contract playing for the SB runner-up, to come play for peanuts for the Ravens... The Cards would probably give us BOTH Fitz and Q, for Ivy and Figurs, if we throw in a 5th rounder. Don't you think???? Go get 'em Ozzie... NOW.

Just imagine if Bart Scott went to the Steelers.
More like the Browns. Cleveland is where Ravens players go to die.

Excepting Kyle Boller, the Ravens have been very conservative giving away draft picks, so you always have to view the possibility with extreme skepticism.

Compare Ozzie's approach with, say, Daniel Snyder, who signs guys like a kid in a candy shop and always ends up feeling fat, sick, and depressed. I picture DeAngelo Hall with two giant bags of gold, hopping and singing and dancing his way to the bank.

The only guy recently who a team went all out for that was worth it was Jared Allen with the Vikings. That d-line is ridiculous with Kevin and Pat Williams in it, roids or not.

Cutler will probably do pretty well in Chicago, even though he's almost a Ryan Leaf in personality. Makes you appreciate half-asleep Flacco.

I'm pretty sure he didnt say anything remotely close to that...in fact, he suggested trading Mason and a 3rd for Santana Moss, which is quite fair, IMO.

(cant tell if your being sarcastic lol)
Actually, someone else suggested the trade, I was just repeating what he proposed.
Personally, I think I agree with you, but historically our third round picks have sucked, so it's a tough call..we could easily find a player at any position that is as talented/more talented than Moss in the third.
Brandon Marshall is a beast. He would be more affordable than Q, and better than any of the other recievers on our draft [boards next year] or the trade block
agree... its just NOT going to happen though

Looks like Marshall might be done in Denver, would the ravens pursue him?

Hmmmm makes that Radio Rumor I heard a couple days ago sound a lil more reasonable now, doesn't it?

IMO Brandon Marshal would fit in perfect here. He has a great personality and he doesn't seem to be a head case. I know he's had some minor off field issues, but come on, every single one of us has wanted to shake the shizzle out of our baby's momma from time to time. I mean...sometimes you just gotta shake a bizzle, ya know? Not condoning violence against women, just saying...

Other than that...really the dude is a beast. He's young with freakish athletic ability. He's tall, dominant, with his prime still ahead of him. I'd be willing to give a 1st round pick for him. Definitely not gonna cost us $10 mill a year. I mean if we're picking 32 in next years draft, we'd really just be giving up a 2nd round pick if you think about it. So why not?

i would do this in a heartbeat, the guy is only 25 and thats the age of some Rookie WR this year. He hasnt even reached his prime yet. He is an amazing deep threat and catches anything thrown at him. is a physical monster with ball in hand and is a tremendous blocker. Plus he is only 25 so we get great value. id do this right now if i where ozzie

I would trade Terrell Suggs for Brandon Marshall and some picks to feel up some cap space and get more picks.

I know it's tough to let go of a great athlete like Suggs, but like Ozzie says "Right player, right price."

However, we don't know what will happen anyways.

Also, I like both Marshall and Suggs cause they both a force to mess with.

letting go of a player like suggs would be a grave mistake even for marshall, now id give up that 1st round pick for him in a heartbeat but suggs is too important of a player to let go. ray brings the inspiration and the heart but suggs is the motor that drives that linebacking corps.

yeah. Marshall is not a beast. He is THE BEAST. just look at his nickname. I don't like that a lot of the harbaugh goody good posters say we absolutely do not need him. WE NEED HIM. the guy is a freak. hes 6-4. 230 lbs. great game speed. HUGE deep threat. just turned 25 years old. so he would grow with joe for years. I few off the field issues is nothing. I would easily give up a 1st round pick for a PROVEN young, atheltic, big, wideout. I would also deal Suggs. I'm tired of him not signing. Id rather deal him then let him not sign and we get nothing but a lousy comp pick.

Pull the trigger! (not that it will happen)

if we where to trade Terrell Suggs to DEN i would want Marshall, Champ Bailey and a 2nd rounder in return. Suggs is so vital to our defense

Although i would trade suggs for Wilfork straight up.

Wilfork is a ball of lard why would you want him? He's only a 2 down DT.

I'd give a 1st for Marshall any day... But knowing Harbs and his goody two shoes ways it will never happen.

We can't trade Suggs end of discussion.

Totally agree,if Mason isn't here next season who is the WR that we possibly draft going to learn from?Mark Clayton is staring to come on his own but he is in no way able to carry the load by himself. If we trade our 1st and D.Williams I think that'd be a good offer.Just imagine Marshall,Mason and Clayton as our WR line-up.Talk about loaded. But the thing that sucks is the Broncos want to trade out of the confrence,so he will probably end up in Tampa or with the Giants <_<

I don't know if we will give away a 1st rounder because we know Ozzie loves to pick.

If we get Brandon Marshall for something like a 2nd rounder and some players, I'll be damn sure that a lot of sport analysts will take note that the Ravens just got more dangerous.

I was thinking a 2nd + D.Williams but the Broncos need more than that,so I'm proposing either a first + D.Williams or a 2nd+3rd+D.Williams for Marshall.

Young, Athletic, yes. Why do we want to trade him? b/c If he is not going to sign. (turned down all of our offers) then we should get something for him instead of just letting him hit free agency. thats why we are quick to trade him

ozzie would actually rather trade a 1st and d-will than a 2nd, 3rd and d-will for Marshall
Ozzie loves picks

Anyway i would trade a 1st for him but i also think this is a fair deal

Brandon Marshall for Todd Heap, Justin Bannan and a 2nd round pick
Tony Scheffler wants out of Denver and they need a safty blanket tight end
They have no front 3 lineman so Bannan would be great there for them and they get a 2nd round pick

We keep our first round pick and can draft a Sergio kindle, Jermain gresham or Terrance Cody next year and we still get Marshall

People might think "its stupid to trade Bannan when he did well last year. well we get Edwards back, we get Buddy lee back and we have a guy named Lamar Divens who is a monster that no one knows about. We stillhave LJ Smith aswell as Davon Drew and Edgar Jones at TE so we ahve great depth

Imagine Flacco throwing to Marshall for the next 8 years!!!!!

Wh would we trade Heap! He's a monster that doesn't need to block this year and will be Flacco's go-to man-toy!Im pretty sure I'd just trade a 1st and D.Williams or Marshall than offering up a good back-up and our starting TE.
