Which Nfl Team Do You Think Has The Best Lb Core?

15 posts in this topic

Ok,it's 1:07 in the morning and I have exams in 7 hours, but I don't care.Let's talk about football!I was looking up stats because I was bored and when I was looking at Westbrook's stats it showed a video to the right of the Eagle's realesing J.Trotter.I know that vid was old because that happened at the end of summer 07'.Andy Reid said they had players that could step up and help them in that role and they did.

It got me thinking how they have really a good core now with Cocong,Bradley,Gaither, and Jordan. And the key thing is that they are all young and up and coming players.

Anyways have your poke at this topic I'm bored.

You've still got exams? Sucks to be you. I've been out of school for almost 2 weeks now.

The Ravens have the best LB core, hands down.

Hmm, Ravens 2 years ago had the best backers hands down. Last year they probably had the second best, behind Pittsburgh, and now they're probably behind both Pittsburgh and the Seahawks. I don't rate the eagles LBs that highly to be honest.
We had the best LB core in 2006. Suggs, Ray, Bart, Thomas
Yeah, gotta miss that LB core....if gooden pans out, then i think we'll top the list again this year.

Steelers have the best, if Curry is who I think he is the Seahawks are second. San Diego has a good crop of linebackers as does Chicago with Briggs, Urlacher and Pisa.

The Packer are too quickly developing a nice LB crew(Hawk,Barnett,Matthews).

Absolutely, you also can't forget Aaron Kampman!

They're going to be an interesting 3-4 team. Harrell, Raji and Jenkins on the line with Hawk, Barnett, Matthews and Kampman behind them. They even have a good reserve in Brandon Chillar.

EDIT: I also like what your Eagles are doing with their linebacking core, a lot of unknown guys but they can ball. Hopefully Jim Johnson can defeat cancer and get back out there! I love his defensive play calling and scheming.

Oh yeah, how did I forget Kampman.
If they stay healthy the Packers could be a very good team(I like what Rodgers showed last year).

Yeah I am wishing the best for J Johnson, but Reid has said it doesn't look good.

After the Ravens whooped up on the Eagles they replaced Gaither with Akeem Jordan and the defense seemed to come alive(not indicating it was because of him),but he was a very good against the run and outstanding in coverage.
Bradley hits like a truck and Gocong is the blitz specialist.
They're still young so we'll see.

The Ravens are a lot like the Steelers in that they seem to always plug someone at LB and they flourish.

Yeah, but Tavares Gooden has some big shoes to fill, Bart Scott wasn't some role player, he's an All-Pro performer. Hopefully he steps in and does well.

Unfortunately thats where it ended when he left.

Good ol' Ed Hurtwell as Falcon fans fondly call him. He had two good years with Baltimore and then just fell off the map. The guy played a total of 13 games in two years with Atlanta after signing a six-year $26.25 million deal. Talk about bust.

Pierce is washed up and Boley lost his starting job on a weak Falcons defense.
Their strength on defense lies in the D-line.
