Sporting News: Defensive Tackles

Ngata in my opinion is just behind Haynesworth as the best defensive tackle in the league. They both play completely different games, Ngata is asked to take on two blockers and hold them and allow the linebackers to get to the quarterback or ball carrier untouched. Haynesworth is asked to take on two blocks and push them back into the quarterback to generate pressure.

But Ngata also drops back in coverage and blitzes. Things no other interior lineman in the league would have a hope of doing.

Haloti Ngata does everything; he even plays on offense.

Well a defensive lineman can't really "blitz" but I know what you mean. I remember a few packages last season where Ngata actually played linebacker
