damn i can't believe it! :o this is awesome.....

i just hope tho that his .285 average is b/c of injuries, he consistantly hit at the .340's last season.

Nice, I hope he is 1/2 the player advertised. He seems to have all of the tools!
can someone give me some background info on him? not familiar with him.
He was 5th pick in MLB Draft back in 2007, Orioles signed him with a few minutes left before the deadline. He's a switch hitting catcher who can be compared to Joe Mauer. Last year in Fredrick (A) and Bowie (AA) he had a .355 BA, hit 27 homers and 91 RBIs. He probably could have started with the team opening day, but MacPhail kept him in Norfolk (AAA) for an extra year in arbitration and free agency.

I hope the kid can handle the pressure, from what I've seen he's rock solid. If he comes on strong, imagine how potent the line-up gets. Where the heck will we put them all.

I watched him play in Norfolk a lot this season. It's amazing to watch him in person, he's built like a linebacker.

Roberts 2B
Jones CF
Markakis RF
Huff 1B
Wiggington DH
Mora 3B
Reimold LF
Wieters C
Izturis SS

That is a sick lineup... I think Wieters will be towards the bottom this year, and gradually work his sport to the #4 or 5 spot depending on his performance. For now he needs to get some solid at bats... no matter how much he's tearing it up in the minors it's still a huge adjustment to make in the MLB.

How many CC Sabathias, Greinkes, Holladays, etc etc etc are there in AAA??

Very true...everybody goes on and on about how Adam Jones took so quickly to adapt to the MLB, where in reality it actually took him parts of 2 seasons. (spent some time in MLB in his last year in seattle and all MLB time in baltimore) so we have to be patient.

In a year or two hopefully we can add Brandon Snyder at first and then add pitchers like Arrieta, Matusz and Tillman to the starting staff. Then maybe we can actually finish over .500!

Yea that def. sounds promising. but, I simply hope that everyone pans out properly and can be successful.
I think the new rotation (of maybe like 3-4 years from now) will look like this:
Matusz
Tillman
Bergesen
Arrietta
Hill
and if these 5 don't pan out we still have our others like Kam Mickolio, David Hernandez, and whomever else. so it all looks promising to me. B)

I'm trying to get tickets, I wanna be there for this. Should be a great atmosphere for a game.

Supposedly MASN said he has been hitting .305 with the newest up to date stats so either way. If he bats .285 he will be considered successful this season.

PS: I am more excited about Reimold, kid is dominating

lol for some reason, so am i! i know he may be a bit older than Felix Pie but he just came to the majors and he's been ripping the ball like a wet paper towel. :D imo 23, 25...whats the difference? age is only a number, especially in baseball.

and about wieters, that's good then. he's bouncing back and gettin to his original form. i think now is the best possible time to promote him...bravo MacPhail.
