My Very Epic MLB 09 The Show Battles

Ok, so i havent been on here since yesterday why? MLB 09 The Show is the best game EVER!!! Coming into today on online play, i was 9900 in ranking. I played a warmup game and whipped a terrible kid and didnt go up much. I like to take stiff challenges so i challenged a guy with a record of 52-18 and he accepted it. It was Baltimore vs. Pittsburgh at Camden Yards. He went up early 2-0 but i answered right back. I made it 2-1 before nick markakis hit a homer to make it 3-2. I tacked on 1 more the next inning and made it 4-2. An inning later in about the 5th, He hit a 3 run homer with Eric Hinske to go up 5-4. In the 7th, [b]Melvin Mora hit a 2 run homer put me back up 6-5[/b]. After he tied it 6-6 in the 8th, i had nobody on and 2 outs. Brian Roberts came up. i swung at a crap pitch to strike out but the catcher dropped it then overthrew first base!! I gave Roberts the windmill all the way to 3rd. Then with 2 outs, Adam Jones hit a walk off single down the line and i won 7-6!!!! Afterwards, we went back and forth about the game, and ravens vs. steelers. I went up 3000 places to 6700 in the rankings in one game.

Then, I challenged a guy with a record of 92-62. He accepted. it was 1-1 until the 8th inning when [b]Melvin Mora hit a 2 run shot to make it 3-1.[/b] He battled back in the 9th to tie it at 3. The pitching was PHENOMENAL in extra innings and we rode our bullpens all the way to the 19th inning!! [b]Then, in the 19th inning, i hit a walk off Home Run with guess who?? Thats right Melvin Mora!![/b] I won 4-3!! What a game!! I went up to 6200th in the worldwide rankings. Im on my way!!

Wow. That sounds pretty cool. I've heard that "the show" was pretty good and I've been disappointed with MLB 2K7 and 8. I don't think they make "the show" for XBOX 360 though.

I LOVE "The Show"...and I'm not even that big of a baseball fan! I mean, I only [i]just[/i] started (regularly) following the O's this season, let's be serious now...

I don't want to say the game educated me on the sport like, say, Madden would educate a casual fan on football, but it made me appreciate the pacing a bit more (even though games in "The Show" move much quicker than in real life). I still suck at batting b/c I need to work on my patience and anticipation, but my pitching is on-point and my defense is solid.

yea its a lot better than 2K baseball games. the only good thing 2k has ever done is nba. and your right, the show is only for playstation

yea hitting is kinda hard especially online. my batting average is like .265 but my ERA is like 2.21

i got frustrated with the show kept losing in franchise mode still play but i can get impatient waiting for a good pitch and my rotation gives up alot of dingers
maybe i should get some new pitchers idk

I've given up on baseball games, nothing good on the 360, unless someday i get a ps3 and get "the show", last time i played baseball was the 2k8 demo and hated it, i tend to stick to racing, madden, and tiger woods

Today I played a guy that was like 24-13. He went up 6-0 after 3 and I came back to win 8-7 on a walk off Corey Patterson single in the ninth ......Im 8-6 on MLB 10....I like to play the best
