Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

You've been waiting for this game since COD4 and you think that's weird? Why it was the game of the year, the best game I've played on the PS3.

COD WOW was an ok game at best, but not close to infinity wards COD4. I was dissapointed in WOW for sure. COD4 was a 10, WOW was barely an 8.

MW2 may win game of the year, but Uncharted 2 may have something to say about that.

maybe its just me but doesnt it seem like the games that are coming out this year are a vast improvement over what was offered before? i know they look to get better every year but in terms of how much effort and time show in the games this year is impressive.

has anyone else seen the new videos? it looks like we are fighting here in america in this game. I cant wait for nov 10 so i can play this game. we already know this will be in the running for game of the year.

It looked killer! November 10th eh? I wonder if that was planned since that is the brithday of the USMC.

im just hoping that this will be like cod4 in promising and delivering. so far from the videos that i have seen on the web and on xbox it looks like this game will own all other games out. i kind of understand why the other games are tucking their tails between their legs and pushing off their sale dates.

i didnt know that about usmc but thats a cool fact to know. im hoping to be able to get off for the 10th and 11th so i plenty of time to play.

Now you fellas are talking another one of my languages - FPS! I owned at CODMW and would LOVE to bang it out with you guys online sometime when the new one comes out - I'd play the the first one, but I played it so much that 2 levels don't load anymore from it constantly spinning I suppose. Anyway, I'm, looking fwd to buying the game when it comes out and think it would be neat if a few of us got together to mash it up online - so long as you are playing on an Xbox.

Uh-oh. Me and my boy Shaaaank up in Canada used to wipe out EVERYONE in CODMW. I may have to renew my XBOX Live subscription in Novermeber. lol.

Just watched some mp videos of it. Seems very similar to COD4 and COD5. Though I'm hoping it's more balanced than previous.

Single player is what I'm after.

Oh no, my friend. YOUR whoopin will come on XBOX live. I'm not re-learning years of muscle memory on a playstation controller. Although, my kid brother is pretty good and I still handed him one on his ps3.

I haven't renewed my XBOX live subscription (having a difficult time justifying it with "the Boss"). lol

ugh that 3 weeks is not gonna be fun... november 3rd Dragon Age: Origins comes out... November 10th Modern warfare 2 comes out..... November 17th Assassin's Creed 2 comes out

Im telling you 360 lovers get a ps3 you wont have to worry about getting another xbl card every year or every month or how ever you do it and to top it off you get a great system with a bunch of great features and awsuem games.

As a fellow PS3 owner, I definitely agree, though I can understand how 360 owners would be reluctant to take the plunge if they've already invested a lot of money into their system.

Bottom line, for people who haven't given in to either system yet, don't let the selection of "exclusive" games fool you -- there are fewer and fewer console-exclusive titles in today's gaming industry because it's not feasible for most publishers and developers to limit their profit margin by limiting themselves to one platform.

With that said, I love the PS3 exclusives myself. And quite a few publishers and developers have a better relationship with Sony than Microsoft, making them more apt to release PS3-exclusive games. Man, I love my PS3.

yea i have the same problem warden. My one saving grace is my bday is around the time the game drops so im using the excuse that im buying the game as my bday present lol. atleast you dont have kids because then life would really get tough. i had to buy my son his own xbox because he always wanted to play mine.

I have an 8 y/o step-son and we share a 360. However, I may not be able to buy the game for me, but he wants it too. lol ;-)

LIVE will be a little tougher to sell though.

I'll be honest, Xbox Live has some great features. Great online store, great Netflix integration, and other features. And because it's a subscription-based service, dropped connections happen less frequently. However, with that said, PlayStation Network, despite being a free service, is pretty good in its own right. The video store is getting better and better, and the games section is updated constantly with classic PlayStation titles as well as exclusive Sony-published PS3 games available for digital download before they hit retail. Additionally, even though dropped connections happen more often than Xbox Live, it's still pretty infrequent and doesn't happen nearly as often as you'd think.

The PlayStation Network still has a ways to go to catch up to Xbox Live, but it's getting there very quickly.
