Probably because Kobe's been in the NBA seven years longer or that he hasnt won a championship without an all-star centre. Its a bit stupid to compare them, and personally I find the Cavs fans to be less idiotic.
All you had to do was read the very next 4 words.

And LeBron won't win a championship without another legitimate All-Star with him. No, Mo Williams is not a legitimate All-Star.
Your kidding right? Kobe doesnt have to out do LeBron. Kobe has already done more in his career then LeBron will probably ever do. I think what you are referring to is more of the mentality of the Cavs fanbase. They want Lebron to accomplish what Kobe has and be better then Kobe is. Frankly, as a Lakers fans I dont like Kobe enough to care whether he out does LeBron, although it helps because I dont like Lebron either. It truely is all about winning for me.
If LeBron had a player of Shaq's calibre from the start he would already have surpassed Kobe. They wouldn't have split either, coz LeBron is a better team mate than Kobe. Not true - I've been a regular on NBA.com forums for years - there's far more of that sentiment towards Lakers fans than Cavs. I'm not a casual fan, I actually won the inaugural Fan Of The Year 2007, voted by other fans. So some people must agree with me...

Whatever dude, save your shoulda, coulda, woulda's for someone else. Its nothing but sour grapes anyways.

All that proves is there are a lot of Laker haters in the world. Speaking of Shaq, I beat you hated his guts when he was in the purple and gold, just because. Not surprising thats what haters do.

I wonder how much you'll love the Cavs or LeBron when he bolts for the Knicks in 2010. My guess is your not a real Cavs fan, so you'll probably become a Knicks fan. Thats the difference between me and you. I've been a Laker fan all my life, it doesnt matter who plays for them.
Kobe is also played much longer, maybe we should compare him to Michael Jordan?
After 2011, the comparison will be very much warrented. I see another 3-peat on the horizon. I hope you guys like tasting those sour grapes and drinking the hatorade. You'll need a lot of it to get through these next 2 years.

thats if PJ stays for that long, which I doubt, or if Kobe's pinkie doesn't fall off, whichever comes first.

Well, seeing as there hasn't been a Maryland team in her lifetime, who is she supposed to support?

You're suppose to support the Washington Wizards during the regular season and then root for the Lakers in the playoffs. It's well written in the Maryland do's-and-dont's handbook.

Along with hating the Yankees, booing the Redsox, despising Steeler fans, Praying for the demise of Indianapolis, and cheering out loud when the Patriots lose.

LMAO. Suddenly? I didnt know I had just became a Laker fan yesterday and there is no way a girl from Maryland could ever be a fan of a none Maryland team. I guess its just out of the question for me to inherit my love of a team from another family member, yeah that never happens. I dont know why I root for the Ravens then, since there was no real basis for me to start following them.

Those sour grapes are sure making you bitter.

im happy for the lakers cuz the magic stunk up the place with the exception of rashard lewis. in defense of neepo she has been rooting for the laker since the begining of the season because like dave said she had the vujaCHICK avatar cuz she thought he was sexy. oh yea and neepo people are going to hate kobe cuz hes the closest thing to jordan we have. once he retires people will treat him they way they do jordan. i remeber when jordan use to be hated on allllllll the time.

on a side note i do see lebron getting better than expectations. the person who i want to see in 4 years will be my boy cp3. i can honestly say that im jealous and wish i could play the way he does.

I second that. I dont know what the hell was wrong with Vujacic or Farmer this season. Although, Farmer found a groove toward the end of the playoffs.

Whatever dude. If that isnt a cop out, I dont know what is. Your hatred for Kobe has absolutly nothing to do with me. Rather you've already exhausted every excuse there is to hate him, so you need a new one. Dont let me stop your hating. I know misery loves company but I wont be joining you.

My ego took your bait but your hatred will not kill my sunshine. On the contrary, it makes the Lakers win that much more satisfying. Sorry. :P

but farmer is suppose to be a role player where as vujaBUM is suppose to be a scorer coming off the bench to give depth to roster. while we are on the subject luke walton is another bum who needs to be included in this discussion. the only one who impressed me this season (cuz nothin kobe does impresses me cuz its kobe) was gasol he played his position well.

I like Shannon Brown to, in the playoffs. Luke is ok. He's not really an offensive player, his defense is ok though.

you got it backwards Perfekt. Sasha is not really a scorer, he's a 3 point specialist that doesn't do anything else particularly well but gives a huge effort.

Farmar is the scorer, or is supposed to be. He's fast, explosive, and better at creating his own offense.
