Oh come on, The Lakers were one one of the worst perimeter defences in the league, they won the game inside and with Kobe making insane shot after insane shot (if you watched the games, you know that Kobe got a layup until the last game which was dissapointingly lackluster, he was making midrange contested jumpshots, which are the lowest percentage shot of all).
If you can stop Howard with one man then you can beat the Magic.
The Cavs' bigs would have been torn to shreds inside by Odom, Gasol and even Bynum would've had a good series on Big Z and Ben.
Kobe and Fisher would've abused Mo and West. And LeBron would've had a harder time against Odom than Air France (even though he did a good job on him) purely because of the size disadvantage.
Cavs would've been VERY LUCKY not to get swept.

I wont say that because they did have the best record in the NBA. Those awards typically go to the team with the best record. I just think Phil Jackson would have schooled him in crunch time.

'One of the worst' was an exaggeration but it's no where near as good as the Cavs' or Magic's or C's'.
So to say that they defended the three ball where the Cavs didn't is stupid. The Cavs lost because they couldn't match up to anyone in the ORL front court. LA basically has the same front court but with Kobe in the Back court. Cavs wouldda got raped in the finals. End of story.

I agree with this, anyone who actually watched any of the games, not just the sports center highlights, can tell you the Lakers had problems defensively. The Magic just seemed rattled, not dissing them but the stage was to big for them. They missed wide open shot after wide open shot. If the Magic could have made half the wide open shots that they missed the series could have probably gone to seven or worse my Lakers would be sent home unhappy for the second year in a row.

After wide open layup in the last seconds of regulation. I was sick to my stomach after that one.

And all the missed free throws, that gave the Lakers a chance at the end of game 4. Cant say, I am not glad it happened but I am not going to dare say the Lakers didnt catch breaks from the Magic. It was a very good series, while it lasted. The Magic fought tooth and nail, they just couldnt finish. Reminds me of how that other team I love so much can be sometimes.

FT shooting was a JOKE in game 4. It's a shame because they played pretty well in all the other phases of the game. All we needed was an average night from the stripe and that would've been a rout.

They also forgot who they were playing. Your up by 12 at the half, you gotta come out and go at the other team like they just smacked your mom or something. They didnt come out with same intensity that they had in the first half and they didnt have it at any time during the 3rd quarter.

Ultimaley that loss falls on Van Gundy though. He should have told his players to foul. Maybe the Lakers make both and they still make the game winning shot after the Magic miss free throws but it would have been a hell of a lot harder, then the play they had drawn up.

The Lakers are just fortunate Ginobli and Garnett both went down with injuries just before the
playoffs. There would probably have been a different outcome. But it didn't, and the Lakers are
the champions this year. It would be nice if they'd just take a 20-30 year absence from the playoffs,
maybe put on Clippers uniforms.

This screams insecure to me. Are you so ashamed of who you really are that you have to turn to insulting people over the internet to make yourself feel better? Thats what it seems and it makes you look extremally immature.

If you disagree with something someone says, fine disagree with it but dont turn around and try to insult someone because they have a different view then you do. This is freaking sports we are talking about, there is no one concrete way to interpret it. This isnt math we are talking about here. Grow the ****** up and get a life. Its not that serious. State your opinion and move on, there is no need to try to mock someone or insult their intellgience to make yourself look better. And honestly, its not helping. It only makes you look more like a moron.

But thats just MY opinion. :)

I'm not going to argue here, its silly. Lakers fans usually don't know what they're talking about, another shining example of their intelligence was destroying parts of their own city last night.

Another funny thing about LA fans are the Dodger "die-hards" who regularly show up about the second or third inning and leave at the seventh inning
stretch to "beat the traffic".

No fan base does. Every fan base behaves as ***holes when they're winning, and some do when they're losing aswell (Celtics).

I dont know how anyone can like a player so polarizing and selfish as Kobe. I called Kobe a rapist before and got censored, excuse me but having sex with someone against their will is still rape wether they have the money to payout or not, so dont get all overanxious with your red censor buttons Im just calling it what it is.

So, now you are the judge and the jury. Thats not how the justice system works. I dont know whether he did it or not, but he wasnt convicted. Hell, he wasnt even tried. Its pointless to hold that against him. The hypocritical thing is your probably one of those same Ravens fans that defend Ray Lewis when people call him a murderer. People believe he paid his way out of that as well, are you going to get rid of your avatar and hope he gets kicked off the team? Because after all, a famous person accused of something couldnt possibly be innocent.

Probably true, but the Lakers fan are the worst. The vast majority of them are actually more concerned with Kobe outdoing LeBron than the team doing well. Staples Center is often quiet when they aren't doing well, the number of band wagon fans is un-matched and the riots in downtown LA last night are just another example of this immaturity and poor fanship. Why destroy your own city after winning?!?!

Your kidding right? Kobe doesnt have to out do LeBron. Kobe has already done more in his career then LeBron will probably ever do. I think what you are referring to is more of the mentality of the Cavs fanbase. They want Lebron to accomplish what Kobe has and be better then Kobe is. Frankly, as a Lakers fans I dont like Kobe enough to care whether he out does LeBron, although it helps because I dont like Lebron either. It truely is all about winning for me.

Probably because Kobe's been in the NBA seven years longer or that he hasnt won a championship without an all-star centre. Its a bit stupid to compare them, and personally I find the Cavs fans to be less idiotic.

Hmm... but the team won, so technically couldn't you say that he has an all-star center?
