Why does everybody hate Kobe so much????

I seriously do not get it.Kobe is arguably the 2nd best player to have ever played the game. What has he done that deserves hatred? You gotta respect that kinda talent. From a competitor's standpoint Kobe is everything you would want in a opponent. He plays the game the way it's suppose to be played. Why is that such a bad thing?

Like seriously, people HAAAATE Kobe. I don't get it.

But anyway I'm rooting for the Lakers right now. But honestly I would love to see all 3 (lakers, nuggets, Cavs) in the finals. So whoever wins I really won't be upset. Normally I'm a lakers guy once the Wizards get knocked out, but this year you got Kobe, Mello, and Lebron. Those guys play the way I play (just a lot better) so I respect them all with a lot of admiration. When you're out there one on one with your best friend that's how you want to play. And if you can get a good ****** game, im talkin about, battling to the point where whoever loses is gonna need at least an hour to cool down cuz he's so pissed. That level of competition is what you dream for and when you see guys bring it every night, every play...can't get any better..


But, I'm also gonna hate....I don't want to see the Magic in the finals. Anybody but the MAgic. I might not even watch if they make it.

I am a Celtics fan and now that they are out of it, I hope it's Magic vs Nuggets. Kobe and Lebron get on my nerves because they complain SO much, especially Lebron. I hope the Nuggets win it all though, because Mellow is a heck of a player. You can already tell in some of these commercials and commentators the league is pushing lebron vs kobe so hard. I also hate the Cavs basketball style, its not pure. They just give it to Lebron at top of the key and move out the way, gets so boring.

Are all the casual fans really as excited about seeing Kobe v LeBron as the were before the CFs started?
In my opinion, the Cavs have been shown up. They were poor against top teams in the regular season, and as soon as the face a legitimate challenge, they've been outplayed.

As for the Lakers, they just don't strike me as a great team. In fact none of the teams this year do. Denver might actually be the closest one, so they are the ones I want to see in the finals. And Orlando are alot closer than Cleveland to looking like a great team, so I would want the Magic to be in the finals aswell.

The fact the Celtics won the championship last season your theory stands wrong. I don't hate Kobe because he is good, I hate Kobe because he whines on every little contact, the the refs constantly give every call. I bet more players could score consistent double digits points if they get to walk, push off, and go the the line 20 times a game.

I wouldn't say Orlando is alot closer than Cleveland to looking like a great team. Remember this is an Orlando team that struggled against a Sixers team that limped into the playoffs, and also struggled against a Celtics team that was missing KG. It just so happens that Orlando matches up against Cleveland extremely well, but it's not like they have been dominating them like they had in the regular season

I am rooting for the Magic to beat Cleveland. The refs in that series are absolutly rediculous. That game 4 should have never gone to OT. They allowed Lebron to shoot free throws for what I thought, should have been a charge.

im not a big melo fan because i feel like hes just a streaky player hands down lebron is better but i do like the way the nuggets are playing. the best thing they could have done was get billups. i really see it being lakers vs magic but i want to see the nuggets vs magic. i dont see cleveland pulling this one out because they rely on lebron to much.

If you think about Orlando should of been up 3-1 going into last night, not LA up. Lee should of never missed that lay-up that ended regulation in game two, if Howard doesnt miss both free throws in game 4, orlando wins. I'm not making excuses just saying Orlando played well it just didnt work in their favor or they shot themselves in the foot.

Keep dreaming. The only saving grace for the Cavs vs. the Lakers would have been home court advantage. And honestly, we probably would have swept you, like we did during the season. You guys dont have the players to keep Kobe in check AND account for Ariza, Bynum, Gasol and Odom. Any of which could sneak in a big day if they dont get enough attention. Hell, if the refs were not so generous during the ECF, the Magic would have swept the Cavs.

The Cavs Magic series was closer than you think. And I disagree about the Refs. In fact I think it's the opposite. I think the Refs were highly inconsistent in that series and IMO gave the Magic BS momentum and too many free pts.

The Magic had 136 fouls called against them in that series
The Cavs had [b]148[/b] fouls called against them in that series

The Magic attempted 179 free throws
The Cavs attempted 170 free throws

Stat wise it was practically even, but even then the Magic still had more calls go their way. Take into account when the Cavs had to foul at the end of some games to stay alive and that ratio grows even further in the Magic's favor.

Another thing...The Cavs lost 2 games by 2 points or less. That series could have easily been (and IMO should have been) 3-1 Cavs. Also, factor in the Cavs 2 week break from playoff basketball, and one could argue they weren't playing at the top of their game bcuz they were away from it for so long, ie. Lebron not having his game legs. The Magic on the other hand were on a roll and had a lot of momentum going into that series.

The only reason the Magic won was bcuz of the 3 ball. The Cavs would have Matched up better with the Lakers simply bcuz they didn't rely on the 3 as much as the Magic did. Case in point, Lakers covered the parameter and won the series in 5. So, when it comes down to it, I think Lebron would have torched the Lakers in the paint and at the same time Clevelands Big men would have matched up a lot better with the Lakers big men then Orlando did.

It would have truly been Kobe vs Lebron.

Cleveland would have had the better PG play and Parameter play (Williams & West)
Lakers would have had Better inside play (Gausol, Odom)
And like I said it would have come down to whose Super Star played better.

Lakers aren't stopping Lebron and the Cavs aren't stopping Kobe.

Would have been an Awesome 7 game series.
