Rank Your Nfl Teams!

107 posts in this topic

okay I've seen some people ranking the Ravens and other teams but these are my rankings. You tell me what your rankings are.
RANK EVERYONE FAIRLY PLEASE, ALL BECAUSE YOU DONT LIKE A TEAM DONT UNDER RANK THEM.

1.NE (Tom brady coming back and they did amazing with Cassel, they have alot of draft picks from trading down and alot of new talent to look at)
2.PIT (havnt improved much, but they won the super bowl last year so cant rank them that low)
3.NYG (They dont have Plax but the running game is still beast and they picked up Hakeem Nicks)
4.BAL (Went to AFC championship game and got a great tackle and looking forward to seeing K.Washington play, also Oz is known for the sleeper draft picks)
5.ARI (Not sure how well Warner is still going to play at his age but I cant drop him to far down cuz he played great last year....o ya and NO DEFENSE)
6.ATL (Ryan will be better and they got Gonzalez, but the defense has to step it up)
7.PHI (Some say they got the best draft but I also think they got a streak of luck at the end of last year, also the Oline/TE kinda iffy)
8.TEN (IF Collins plays up to standard they should still be an okay team)
9.NYJ (Rex as new head coach should turn the defense around and they got good talent already at the offensive side of the ball hopefully Sanchez plays as well as everyone says he will)
10.CAR (This was kinda a back and forth because from off the top of the head I havnt heard anything from them offseason wise)
11.CHI (I think Culter will help them TREMENDOUSLY enough said)
12.MIA (Im not a big dolphin believer but they earned to be rated this high from last years performance plus they got vontae davis who is a trouble maker but a good player)
13.MIN (great running game, good dline and they got Harvin to help out their bad QB situation)
14.WSH (Every year I think this is the year that the Redskins finally step it up and do something with the talent they have but they never seem to do...I think this is the year)
15.SD (They are going to have their defense alot more healthy and even though I think Rivers is an overrated QB he is still a good QB)
16.IND (They have a new everything lol.... no good defense slightly above average WR's but with Peyton taking the snaps they will win a good number of games)
17.DAL (Dallas really needs to step it up if they want to be taken seriously....)
18.HOU (They get better and better every year plus division is weak)
19.KC (Lots a new talent and even though I think I should rank them lower my heart tells me they going to do something big this year)
20.GB (Rodgers should improve and they were not that bad last year)
21.BUF (The addition of TO although I hate his big mouth he can flat out play)
22.NO (I dont think they have a good enough defense)
------------------------------------------------------------------------This is where you should be able to figure out why I ranked them there-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
23.JAX
24.BUC
25.DEN
26.CIN
27.CLE
28.SF
29.SEA
30.STL
31.OAK
32.DET

I think the Eagles should be in the top 3 because McNabb has a strong offensive line and some crazy new toys to work with.

Jeremy Maclin, Brian Westbrook, LeSean McCoy, DeSean Jackson...

Are you kidding me?

ok but here is the thing.... your going to take the NYG out of the 3rd spot???? You cant take out NE...and you definitely cant take out PIT

Also McCoy is going play the same spot Westbrook is in.... so they are going to have to share the playing time...plus Westbrook is injury prone... Also Westbrook and Jackson were on the team last year when they went 9-6-1

And only 1 TD for Jackson last year.

Philly in the top 3 is a joke. Oh my God they got a rookie WR who was good in college - clearly they're on their way to glory.

We *crushed* the Eagles last year - no way are they better than us. And don't even begin to play the injury card because we were leading the league in injures I believe, next to Jacksonville.

1. Steelers. The Super Bowl champions should always be at the top of anyone's list, until a game is played that suggests otherwise.
2. Patriots. Tom Brady is a born and bred winner, and seeing how well that team performed without him scares me on how well they'll do with him this year.
3. Giants. Still a very solid team that only got better over the offseason.
4. Ravens. I can't think of any team besides the three above who can beat us.
5. Cardinals. With Larry Fitzgerald and a defense that improved greatly in the postseason, I think they'll be more competitive during the regular season this year.

Don't care to list anyone else.

Indy at the number 16 is quite an embarassment for us, and i dunno how their defense is bad especially with how they massacred Flacco

You lost your credibility when you put the Colts 16th. The Eagles, Tennessee, and Arizona are all twisted.

I agree with yours my friend. Although i hate to put the Steelers on top but i do not see them losing any ground at all. Maybe we get Plaxico maybe not but we have to keep that steelers offense off of the field because i do not see our new cornerbacks stopping Ward. The patriots are definately back in the hunt as brady will come back with a bit of a hunger to win. The giants are like the guys who always manage to win but win ugly, kind of like us before Flacco. Between us and the Cards it could go either way i think but i do think we are in the top 5.

they've got that purple kryptonite <_< lol
hopefully with a new defensive coordinator we can fix the weaknesses that the colts seem to exploit.

as for offense, i think we can do good this year when we play the colts, considering how joe flacco's better and can throw the intermediate routes, and willis mcgahee and ray rice both perform like they did in their best games last season.

hahahah ok for one thing that was early in the season.... we had a rookie head coach, QB,and new offensive coordinator....it takes time to get in sync and know who can do what and when to do it.

Also let me take you through that game for a moment...14-0 we are down so we need to score to keep the game close...Flacco flips it to McClain who fumbles at the first down marker than Flacco throws a pick that was his fault but than Flacco hands the ball of to Ray Rice who than fumbles it... the defense couldnt stop Peyton at all.... hardly Flacco's fault for the loss of that game

we were a better team at the end of the year and also HAVE YOU BEEN WATCHING ANY NFL NETWORK because no Dungy and new offensive coordinator and no Marvin come on think before u speak

how so colts at 16...no Marvin, new head coach, new offensive coordinator????? They were 31st in rushing.... and they havnt done anything to fix that

Also if you look at schedule the teams they had to play against didnt have the best offenses in the league. http://www.nfl.com/teams/schedule?team=IND...;seasonType=REG

Plus after the 4 spot it gets pretty hard for awhile, also tell me the order than!

I do not see the Colt's being a top 5 team this year with all the changes. But I guess we will have to wait until the season starts to see. I think they will have a major drop off!

Pat Kirwan power ranking Indy at 5.......... wow...........just wow
"recent departure of offensive coordinator Tom Moore and offensive line coach Howard Mudd. Put that together with a new head coach (Jim Caldwell) and there seems to be even more pressure on Peyton Manning than ever before."-Indy

"The Cardinals had some key losses in offensive coordinator Todd Haley and defensive end Antonio Smith, but they have playmakers on offense and the addition of Chris "Beanie" Wells should help the running game."-Cards

So the Colts lose 3 key coaches and one of them the head coach and they stay at 5 yet the team that lost in the super bowl drops to 9 because they lose 1 coach and 1 end really now?

Another mention he put the 8-8 saints at 12

Let me get this straight you are going to put the Eagles infront of the Ravens....

The same Eagles team that couldn't do diddly poo offensively against us. The same Eagles that have Desean Jackson who throws the ball before he gets to the endzone. The same Eagles that don't have a single season where either McNabb or Westbrook are not injured. Yeah they did a lot of stuff on offense but I am not worried about the Eagles....

Titans, Eagles, Falcons to start. Plax isnt everything on that team. They will regain their chemistry this offseason and be a threat next year. Giants are still scarey good. And they get that DE back. osijkdashfdhsfhdusabncuidsurea. I have no idea how to spell his name so i didnt even try

ur right about them being scarey good defensively...offense is still good but lost Plax, cut Toomer, and lost a 1000yd rusher in Ward

there r reasons why i have the other teams ahead of them:
Titans-same rushing attack, Kerry Collins is back & got themselves a couple of new WRs
Eagles-same great D, D Nabb is back with a better line, drafted two new offensive weapons in Maclin & McCoy
Falcons-same as Flacco Ryan willl avoid the sophmore slump n play a great season, got the
all time TE reception leader in Gonzalez, drafted some beasts to improve their D in Peria Jerry n W.Moore

Not sold on Ward being anything. I think he was the compliment of Jacobs who beat the teams down before Ward just ran around them. I think Ahmad Bradshaw will do just as well.

Titans-lost Haynesworth. I know many people hate on him, but last year when he struggled the team struggled just remember that.

Eagles- are not better than the Giants. Eagles are better but they still have a small defense that Jacobs can run over.

Falcons- Matt Ryan is going to improve but that defense is still weak. Their team is not better than the giants.

i could see maybe the falcons and titans fallin behind NY but i stiil feel tht philly is better cause jacobs is a 2 down back n Bradshaw only did anything last yr cause of the Ds of teams having to b ready 4 all three RBs n cause of NYs WRs

Everyone has a right to their opinion, but the Eagles completely dominated the Giants in their final two meetings and didn't even allow at TD in the last two meetings except for a garbage time one in the final 25 seconds(did the same against the Steelers/6 pts).

Yeah the Eagles got whipped by the Raven after they pulled McNabb, but even as bad as McNabb was playing the score was 10-7 Ravens at the half and Kolb must of not read the scouting report on Reed.

The Eagles biggest problem with the Giants just as most teams was Buress and had no problem stopping Jacobs after that.
Lets not forget that the Giants outside of `07(under Eli) have been a one and done team in the playoffs and guess who ended their seasons(in the playoffs) the year before and after their SB run.....the Eagles,so I am always confident when it comes to the Giants as McNabb has owned them along with the rest of the division since `00.

I'm not sure there are any dominant teams and although the Eagles record wasn't impressive by any stretch I would be hard pressed to find any team out there that is clearly better heading into this upcoming season.

Its all about match-ups and I feel that if the Eagles would've won their conference then they beat the Steelers in the SB just as I think the Ravens more than likely would've done the same against the Cards.

The Steelers were not that strong and their O-Line and running game was weak(two things the Eagles and Giants exploited heavily in their regular season meetings).
I know I'm coming off as if the Eagles are world beaters and they haven't been that when it comes down to it,but they will be contending this year and have as good of a chance to win it all as any other team heading into this season.

All that said its a new year and we'll see who comes out on top. ;)

McNabb has missed 20 games in ten seasons and he was healthy this entire season and say what you want about Westbrook as he missed 2 games this year and they finally have a FB in Leonard Weaver(Dan Klecko played it last year/DT/)and added LeSean McCoy.

I'm not worried about the Eagles offense as it has the most speed ever at WR and talent at RB in McNabbs entire career with the Eagles.
O-line has added Peters/Stacey Andrews and the gets Shawn Andrews back this year and he is one of the most dominant O-line men in the league.

Celeck was a monster at TE in the playoffs(19 151 3TDs)and they also drafted Ingram who many said would've been the first TE taken in this years draft if not for the injury.

This all depends on which Giants come out to play. Because at the beginning of the year they looked unstopable. After burress shot himself because he is an idiot, the team wasnt the same. I feel he was more of a distraction than anything else. One year is all those recievers need. I think Hixon and Nicks are going to take Burress' spot and they arent going to miss a step. The Giants trenches are nasty. We will see this year like you said but i'm still going with the Giants.
