What prospects?

Markakis, and Adam Jones?

Oh I forgot a 31 year old Japanese rookie pitcher.
Please don't talk about baseball if you don't know what the hell your talking about. Wieters, Matusz, Tillman, Arrieta, Reimold, Patton,Erbe. Well, there are just a few prospects, so at least educate yourself before you say something.

All our solid pitching prospects gets me hyped up for 2010 & 2011. I really think by 2011 we will be a competing team... and finally not in last place.

Yay, 4th place by 2010/2011. Possibly close to .500! What a great team! I can't wait it is so exciting.

What a JOKE.

don't be such a fair weather fan please. At least theyre actually trying to make strides in the past few years instead of just throwing money around on aging vets.

To tell you the truth I am not a fairweather fan because I am not an Orioles fan.

Throwing money around at aging vets? OH you...mean proven players that can produce on a consistent basis? right?
Truth is thats what they need to do, and its funny to see the teams that chose to really compete roll right over them, for example the Yankees tonight 1-9.

The funniest thing is how O's fans hate other teams like the Yankees, Boston, etc.

Truth be told they are just jealous, and it is quite pathetic.

nothing is gonna change until Angelos sells the team or dies. Theres a reason why hes the #1 worst owner in all of baseball and the os are consistently in the basement of their division. Im still fan of the team, but not a fan of the management.

I am furthest from jealous of them two teams, Ray yes, not Sox or Yanks. Both them teams are capitalizing off bandwagon fans and just buying the best players. I do not support that, and believe it's more fun and loyal watching the guys develop through our system. And you dummy, remember the hole Albert Bell signing? Yeah, that was a good idea ehh? The hole 90s all we did was throw money around on aging vets, and that's why we been so bad last few years. Finally we are going back the Oriole way and developing through our system. Unless you are the two evil empires that is what you need to do, because them two teams will just outbid us on any given night. Example, Rays made it to world series from developing within. The Marlins won a championship developing within, and that is what they are doing again now, and greatly improving. The Diamondbacks did the same too. You need to learn before you say stupid things.

whatever man the only thing stupid is this franchise. Orioles Magic my ******. I am glad you can name a few teams that made it by having luck seasons without seasoned proven veterans on the roster. This topic is getting severely off topic so I am done posting. Go enjoy watching them lose this season, next, the one, after etc.

Clearly it's been so successful over the years...providing the O's with such high quality players.

Mora, we gave him a no trade clause or he'd be long gone. Ramon Hernandez was suppose to be a big hitting catcher that we overpaid for. That is only recent players we have or dumped over the last 2 years.

Lets see our staring 2000 roster.

Mike Bordick- Signed as free agent going into 8th season
Brady Anderson- We got him in his second season. Good player great his steroid year. He gave us a lot of laughs running through the center field wall and running into the third base coach.
Delino DeShields- Signed him as F/a going into his tenth season.
Albert Bell- Signed as vet, and we all know the rest about that one.
Will Clark- Signed him going into his 14th season.
Cal Ripken, Jr- Greatest O's of all time, but end of career that season.
Jerry Hairston Jr- We devoped him, but had attitude problems and got beat out by Brob
Melvin Mora- Signed him going into his 3rd year, and highly overpaying him and a no trade clause.
B.J. Surhoff- He is one of my favorite players ever, but we signed him as a f/a going into his 10th season.
Brook Fordyice- Hell of a nice guy, but we signed him as a f/a going into his 7th season.
Charles Johnson- Really did good his first season with us, signed going into his 7th season.
Harold Baines- The best DH/bench hitter ever. We signed him going into his 14th season.

Season end- 4th place in our division with losing record.

Alright, vet f/a signed players on our roster. That is the best we could get, we can't affored players Yanks or Boston gets. So now at least we have the best and youngest outfield in the MLB, top prospect in the world going to be at catcher. And one of the best pitching cores moving along the miners GREATLY, look at the ERA. So where were we better off in year 2000 with old team crappy farm. Or now with a young team growing together and moving its way up through the minors.
