Braylon Edwards

For all of you that are clamoring for us to trade for Boldin, I say why don't we go for Edwards instead. He's younger, and more of a deep threat than Boldin is. I know he had a case of the dropsies this last year, but he made the Pro Bowl in 07. Boldin ran alot more underneath routes and I know this is partly because of Fitz, but Edwards is a legit deep threat. What do you guys think?

Browns would not trade Edwards to a division rival. Not gonna happen.

even if the browns wouldn't trade it to a division rival, i doubt the ravens would want a receiver with hands like those. All of our starting receivers have hands, and although we may not get the biggest of yards, we don't miss out on many opportunities, opportunities and catches that edwards should have made but did not.

Remember that pass last year that he dropped that would have beaten us? Do you really want that happening to us if we had a chance to beat another team? lol I will keep my eggs in the Boldin basket for now

I'd trust Boldin with the long ball. Braylon needs to get his act together pronto if he wants to be stay a star in this league

I'm just going to repeat the joke I made last time this came up:

They tried to sign him but he kept dropping the pens.

More important trading in a division is something that you avoid.

While we're at it why not trade for Joe Thomas, Shaun Rogers, Chad Ochocinco, Troy Polamalu, Casey Hampton... Im sure they'll all just cough them up.

Braylon Edwards is a Diva waiting to happen. He's not as good as he thinks he is, which was his biggest problem last year. He was caught up in all the media hype surrounding the Browns and to worried looking good for the camera's so he could be a star, that he forgot that he needs to play well to become one. He needs to shut up, and focus on playing football. If you have to work that hard to keep a guy focused on football, then he's probably not going to be worth the risk. Chances are once he gets back on track, he's going to get caught up in the media hype again.

All the constant WR talk is just silly and going nowhere fast. In Ozzie's "business model" for how to build a football team allocating big money to ANY receiver just plain isn't going to happen. Boldin or Edwards or anyone else for that matter just flat out is not going to happen. If one of our drafted WR's become a star, then yes Ozzie would open up the check book and pay to keep him. But going out and over paying for questionable/used goods is not about to happen when we have so much talent of our own that we can barely keep it all under contract at positions he values more.

I would mind Troy Polamalu. His voice is higher than MIchael Jackson and his hair looks like a bush....he can stay in pitt

anyways, Ive always liked Braylon, he just needs to work on his hands. Ive seen him make some circus catches though.

I've heard reports that guys like Mangeni and Khokins doesn't like Edwards additude. So if that is true i'm sure Ozzie has the soop on that and won't touch Edwards.

He has the potential to be a star in this league, but he just doesn't fit the type of players that we have brought into this team the pass to years. He doesn't seem tough enough to be a Raven.

im sure that Ozzie has indeed (in the very least) looked at Edwards as a possible option to go with in our WR core, and given the fact that the guy is a talented young player whom has already established himself in being a "deep threat" or more sufficient..... a every down, every play type of threat when the ball is thrown his way, It would be hard not to believe that Ozzie... being Ozzie, wouldn't at least glance his way given the mans given talents, most of all...his talents on the field as being a proven playmaker whenever the ball comes his way. To me personally, it would seem that Edwards would be a good fit here as a raven, no prior trouble with the law or league, no trouble in locker rooms, a team player... basically, all the makings of a "Raven" player falls into place whenever Edward's name is brought up as a potential option for the Ravens.

Now..... whether or not the Browns are willing to negotiate with us and the team for a more reasonable deal, is really up to the people or persons involved. Whether or not Oz pulls the trigger is yet to be known.
