Alright, how about:
Bottom line? This, too, shall pass.

No one would voluntarily sit for a whole season just because they didn't get the contract they wanted.

Suggs and his agent aren't stupid; we'll see T-Sizzle in a #55 purple jersey for at least one more year.
And that's after removing all of the educational aspects of my response, and the logic behind my reasoning. Y'know, the basis of making a sound argument. Happy? ;)

Suggs will more then likley test free agency next year. I highly doubt He will get offered a huge contract. Maybe more then Oz offered but not as much as He thinks. He may be back next year, It depends on if WASH DAL or OAK offer there retardedly insane high dollars out to Him.

i actually dont see anyway ozzie lets him walk, he will tag him again and put the 18 mil tag on him if he needs too, oz is to smart of a businessman to let him walk for a third rounder

If he hits FA he is gone, you can bank on that
Hes overrated anyway IMO, he aint worth 35 mil which is what he wants and you dont give that much to a coverage, run stopping OLB who struggles to get off single blocks to get to the Quarterback
8 sacks, are u serious, If he aint get 10+ sacks this year id send him to a team for a first rounder and a 4th rounder

P.S.
I seriously think he might be traded before TC for Julius Peppers and a 3rd round pick
If not that i think he may be traded mid season at the deadline to a team in need of a player of his caliber

When Ngata and Gaither contracts are coming up id rather pay them as they are more valuable and its harder to find a franchise LT and the most dominant lineman in the game than a unstopping, pass coverage OLB

Gaither/Ngata > Suggs

You forget there's no cap in 2010.

Wasn't Suggs the one who was talking about a "hometown discount" when free agency first started? Well I guess that went right out the window when he saw both Ray and Bart get hugh contracts (although with different teams). I think Ozzie had a window to lock Suggs up long term at a signifigant discount while there was still hope all 3 of our linebackers would be back next season. Once Scoot left, Suggs realized that the team wouldn't be able to play the cap space card as much so nows hes going for it all. Can't blame the guy I guess but this long term contract has been dragging on for too darn long. Two years are you freakin kidding me!?
This Terrell "Hometown Discount" Suggs drama has gone on for far too long. Three years of pointless negotiations and here we are stuck with an unsigned tender and an unsigned long term contract still sitting on the table. It should be apparent to everyone by now that Suggs is a me-first player who thinks he's bigger than the team. I love Suggs but I think it's time to cut him and his huge ego loose via trade once he signs his franchise tender.
I couldn't disagree more with this comment, Suggs knows what kind of money he's worth. It's only fair we offer him what he wants. He deserves it. I used to think of Suggs as a "me-first" player as you say basically because of the whole training camp thing last year that happened, this year however in the play-offs he suprised me by going out in the feild with his injurys.. grunting through the pain and making some big plays. I think Suggs deserves the upmost respect from us Ravens fans. I for one would be VERY sad to see him go.

i think he's kind of in a similar boat as mcnabb atm

damn good player, but fans want a change

now the reasoning is different, we're upset due to 2-3 years of negotiations

philly is just upset

You're right, but we can't judge T-Sizzle based on the fact that he wants the $$$ he very much deserves.

it is true, but the negotiations themselves are getting a little long in the tooth..... what happens if its either suggs or ngata or something like that :(

but ya suggs is one of the best at his position, for the fact that he is capable at doing everything........ hopefully that includes more sacks next year :)

To Suggs' credit, he's let his play do all the talking for him; he hasn't said a single negative word about the situation in the media, and he's been baited plenty of times. He should be commended for being a complete professional, and if anything, his professionalism should be rewarded.

Sure, at the end of the day, this is still a business and there's no such thing as loyalty. But let's face it, with all of the primadonnas in professional sports these days, it's refreshing to see an athlete of Suggs' caliber be nothing but respectful. If the Ravens reward him for his professionalism, it'd be a nice example for the rest of the league, and hopefully, other teams will follow that lead and stop giving in to childish demands from their players.

I can see him walking after this year. A little off-topic but I played Madden with the the Ravens in franchise mode and his morale dropped after "the way the organization treated him" and he left to Oakland.
What are you even talking about?
Stop with this Hometown Discount nonsense already. He said that when free agency began, when Scott was still on the team. In order to keep all 3 linebackers together. Ray Lewis didn't care, he wasn't going to take less money. Bart Scott didn't care either, he signed a huge contract with somebody else. The Hometown Discount is over with. It doesn't exist anymore. Suggs even said that during an interview in response to Ray's comments, that he doesn't play less.

Everyone is on their own when it comes to money, that's what Suggs learned and he's doing it right now. Everyone else took whatever they could, now don't expect Suggs to just sign a "decent" contract. You can offer guys like Chris Carr a decent contract. Suggs is an All Pro, he's looking for a big payday. Don't act like you'd just leave millions on the table if you were in his situation, that's pretty hypocrite.
You're making too much sense man, stop doing that, you are confusing people.

I've had enough with this no salary cap in 2010.........they will get a deal in place well before the 2010 season starts, and as for suggs, maybe the whole hometown discount was him thinking to himself, if Ray and Bart take less it might mean more for me, Dont get me wrong Suggs is a great player and i would love to keep him on the team, but he is being very greedy.

Oh snap, if it happened in madden it's a good indication it will happen IRL. Madden, the real life NFL simulator.
