Kelley Washington, who has played for the Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots, will have a tryout with the Ravens at this weekend's minicamp.

Washington, who is 6 feet 3, 215 pounds, reportedly has an offer from the Washington Redskins.

A 2003 third-round pick by the Bengals, Washington has a total of 20 catches the past three seasons. His best season came in 2004 when he had 31 catches (for a 23.6-yard average) and three touchdowns.

Washington, 29, played four seasons for the Bengals before joining the Patriots last season. He had one catch for three yards in New England.

I wanted him when he was first released from the Bengals a few years ago, but now, I'm indifferent. I thought he would've been a great contributor in New England, but I don't think any of us saw them getting Randy Moss or Wes Welker after signing Donte Stallworth.

In my opinion, he was a better Special Teams player than he was a Wide Receiver, but from what I've seen, he was absolutely terrific covering Punts, Kickoffs, etc. Should be a valuable asset in helping win the battle of field position.

Idk, you can argue that Rookies have potential. After being in the NFL for a few years and still not doing anything spectacular it seems like a waste of time and $$ to me.

No he is not, they were playing against the browns first of all. And the name of the dance is the squirrel originally. People dance it kind of their way. The dance was out even before ray lewis.

If we're just talking short-term, two years max, then he wouldn't be bad compared to the rookies. Of all the rookie receivers in this year's draft, only two or three of them might contribute immediately for their respective teams (and they probably won't be the ones that you'd expect, neither). The verdict won't be out on the rest of them for another four years, maybe.

They were actually playing the Redskins. But other than that, you're right.

He was the Bengals' former #3 receiver before Chris Henry came along, and then alternated in that spot with Henry before moving onto New England as a free agent. I don't think Washington ever started a game for the Bengals since they had both Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh in their prime during his time there.

So that could account for his less than spectacular results. Maybe he is sleeper hit waiting to happen.

At his age (29, about to turn 30), I doubt it. Maybe he'll become more of a contributor with a new team, but he won't be anything more than a #3 receiver, at best.
