Top 100 Nfl Rookies To Make An Impact

17 posts in this topic

I think its interesting to read
Oher 63 , Kruger 56, Webb 86 , Phillips 30

Michael Oher is only the 11th OL that can make an impact according to that site, i still think hell make a big impact for us and we have a OL for 10 years to come with him

Kruger 56 - high motor guy needs a bit work, but a good player and in our D he will shine if he plays

Webb 86 - i think he will not see much playing time on defense maybe more on special teams as a returner

Phillips 30 - could be the steal of this draft class for us, 3rd 2nd day pick on this site 1st 2nd day LB and 1st 5th round pick on this site

I agree, it'd be nice to see one from last year. Just to take a look at how wrong they "experts" were. :P

I think pretty much all of the offensive lineman will make an impact, most of the upper round running backs, some of the defensive lineman, and few of the quarterbacks and receivers.

I disagree with Crabtree at 1....

All the receivers that were successful in their first year in the Nfl have been from a pro-style offense.
Sure, Crabtree is very explosive and etc. etc. but can he constantly get open and not be bothered by a jam at the LOS?

2 and 3...... No rookie QB will start this year till the later half. Bank on it

The dude overrates and underrates a LOT of players.... Pat White at only 79???

He is going to own in the Wild Cat.....

and I am 100% sure that he will make a better impact than a punter would...

I'm confused why Philips is going to make the biggest impact for the ravens. Oher might start and probably will get playing time. Webb will probably get playing time too beyond special teams. I thought Philips was just going to be a special teams guy.

They are probably assuming we drafted him to step right in for Scott. Which isnt how we opperate. He's going to have to wait his turn, Gooden and McClain are ahead of him.

that list is preposterous!!! look at how low chris johnson and steve slaton were rated!! omg, some things they just shouldn't bother to try and predict.

Don't be so sure, looks like Rex wants Sanchez to start day 1. He said in an interview since they have a strong line and strong running game, he doesn't see why Mark couldn't do what Joe did last year.

Relax, it's all an opinion, everyone in the world though Slaton was too small, plus he was buried on the depth chart at the beginning of the season. No one can predict who will be the best rookies are going to be, or else they would be a GM somewhere making a ton of money. These lists are more used to keep fans happy and interested in the offseason. We need something to talk about, and this gives us that.
Joe Flacco is rated higher than Matt Ryan so I like it
That surprised me. Weren't they expecting Matt Ryan to take over the QB duties right away? I don't think anyone expected Flacco to beat out Troy right away and there was always the chance that Boller would be the starter again. It was only injury and illness that made Joe our starter last year. I fully expected to see Ryan at the top of the list. He may have exceeded expectations for a rookie, but I believe he was expected to play and have some impact - Flacco wasn't even necessarily expected to play and therefore, wouldn't have any impact.
