dude u need to read up on stuff about suggs asking prices and cardinals cap space and all
Yes, Suggs wants at least $9 mil/yr - and the Cards are $1.5 million under the cap. Even with the cuts, losing Edge won't make up for Suggs' salary, if they want to make Dansby happy - not to mention Boldin - unless he's traded for Suggs (which ain't gonna happen...).
first edge sucks and is over rated. he was once good thanks to peyton manning, same reason why i think addai is over rated too. and if they release players to make cap room, they release them to make room to resign boldin. why would you cut players before making a trade, if anything you make the trade and then cut players to renegotiate a contract. and last but not least, the cards are said to have the 3rd more cap room in the nfl. cap isn't an issue to this team whether the cut players or sign new ones.

I'm all for trading suggs for boldin. suggs ain't worth 75 mil or maybe even over 100 (if he is still asking to be the highest paid meaning over haynesworth), but the cards have been rumored to decline any package the would involve suggs because they do not want to have to renogotiate a contract according to suggs demands - because they too dont feel he is worth it. and second they would have to trade us boldin and draft picks to land suggs, which they are not willing to do. pass rushers are hard to find and suggs is too expensive to trade for, and suggs was a top 10 draft pick, 26 years old, and will ask to be paid the highest defensive player contract in the nfl, its too high a price for them. While Boldin's value has dropped with him having played only one or two full seasons, extremely injury prone, 29 years old, and WR values being worth much less than pass rushers (except in the ravens case in terms of drafting ;) )
Boldin has missed 16 games in 6 NFL seasons, true - an average of 2.6 games/year. During that time, he has been remarkably consistent, averaging 84 receptions for 1083 yards and 7 TDs per year. Even with the missed time, he's been excellent. He's 28 years old.

He'll be 29 when the season gets underway.

no doubt. trust me i know a lot more about boldin than the average fan considering i've followed him since his very first game in the nfl when he broke records, he has been my fav WR in the NFL since because he is unique, the only WR i've seen that seems to have a RBs body and plays like one. but but personal bias aside, since hes my fav wr, i dont think the rest of the league feels that way. from a normal teams standpoint from the outside trying to make a trade, these are things that should decrease boldin's value.
