Bengals Getting More Face Time?
The Bengals are being considered to be the featured team on this year's Hard Knocks: Training Camp series, which is aired on HBO in late July and August. No final decision has been made though by HBO or NFL Films, which produces the series.
For the record, the link's not even worth clicking, since the rest of the article is just a short blurb giving small background info.

I think that if the Bengals choose to accept an offer from HBO to be the next team featured on Hard Knocks, they're asking for another losing season. It's not the show itself that's a problem for featured teams, but rather the amount of exposure given to the players as the cameras are granted unfettered access within the organization.

Thus far, the Ravens are the only team to have made the playoffs the season in which they were profiled on the show (2001); however, they were eliminated in the first round. The Ravens have the distinct honor, of course, of being the first team to be featured on the show since its inception in 2001, following Baltimore's Super Bowl victory in January of that year.

The only other teams to have been featured on the show are the Dallas Cowboys (twice; 2002 and 2008) and the Kansas City Chiefs (2007); the 2004 Jacksonville Jaguars were profiled on a similar show that aired on the NFL Network as opposed to HBO called Jaguar Summer.

I'm almost dying for the Bengals to get the nod, as I would love to see how that organization is run. I wonder just how incompetent that front office and coaching staff really is, especially considering all the talent that they've had the past few years.
