CURRENT
QB Drew Willy (Buffalo)
DT Will Johnson (Michigan) - 50 reps at the BP.......Good bulk, long arms, outstanding motor
OL Greg Ryan (Western Kentucky)
DE Willie VanDeSteeg (Minnesota)
WR Eron Riley (Duke) - DHB Clone cept MUCH MUCH less money- 6'3 206 4.27-4.36 40 time 40' vert
FB Jason Cook (Mississippi) - straight up, hard nosed, physical fullback
LB Dannell Ellerbe (Georgia)
K Graham Gano (FSU)
CB David Jones (Kentucky)
P Dave Brytus (Pitt)
WR Isaiah Williams (MD)
OT Cameron Goldberg (Duke)

Bolded players are ones that I REALLY like

What LB postiion will Ellerbe play? OLB or ILB? I tihnk thios was a great move, because he could possible be a backup for Jason Philips or Ray Lewis.

Ellerbe is a machine. He is a great motor guy who was all over the field for the Bulldogs the last two years. I remember watching him and lamenting that he wouldn't get drafted because of his measurables when he plays lights out!

Riley seems like an absolute steal. As a Maryland fan, I know quite a bit about ACC football and know that he was good possession reciever for duke. However, he surprised all scouts when running in the high 4.3s in his 40. I think he runs better routes and has better hands than DHB, as like I said he was a possession receiver.

yeah that is pretty impressive. I do not know how you get that many reps with such long arms. Has great size and strength at 6'4 285 to play 3-4 end eventually.

Really wide grip I imagine. But 47? Where's his freakin' cape?

Wow, from those highlights it looks like we could have gotten a dimond in the rough with Riley...the Oz man is amazing. I am so ready to dominate Pittsburg this year.

I think it's funny how on his Draft page they compare him to Bart Scott.

"Compares To: BART SCOTT, New York Jets -- Scott is a little bigger and more patient, but both are impact tacklers who do quite an effective job in stuffing the inside running game. Ellerbe has the same ability of Scott when it comes to defending vs. the pass, as he gets good depth in his drops. He shows better production when playing on the move. " -NFLDraftScout.com

I like him a lot! Great Athlete. I wanted us to pick him up along with ILB Frantz Joseph. He was nasty in '07 where he had 93 tackles unlike '08 when he only had 33 due to a knee injury. They said after he got hurt, he played a little safe. When he joins the Ravens, I believe he will go back to playing like his hair is on fire!

I'm loving the Eron Riley pick up. I'm hoping our receivers end up with Mason, Clayton, Williams, Smith, Riley. I like justin harper a lot too though. Seems like even though we look pretty thin at the position, we have a lot of guys who can possibly break out this season. Looking forward to some football!

I hope one of the WR we do have breaks out and surprises everyone...who knows...we could have our own Bolden right under our noses...only ALOT cheaper :)

Riley looks good on film, he is a killer special teams gunner from what those highlights show. Good size and speed too, could develop well for us.

Ellerbe would have been drafted had he not been injured some last year, so good grab by Oz there too.

Is there a link confirming all these guys? The only ones that I've seen on the Ravens website are Willy (Buffalo) Ryan (Western Kentucky) and Gano (Fl. St.)

wonder if we'll keep willy and drop Bouman...Kinda surprised me that we picked up another QB. Willy was all Kiper talked about during the last 15 or so picks of the 7th round, lol.
I guess the Jason Cook (FB) signing means we won't bring back Lorenzo Neal. Thats a shame cause I really like Neal. :(
I'm really disappointed we hadn't resigned Neal. I wonder if it's because he'd cost too much? He seemed to be really on point last year. I do like what I've read about Cook. Would he just be a practice squad guy...or potentially start? I'm curious to see how all these pieces will fit together.
