anyone think there's an outside chance of chris carr getting released after we just signed him this offseason?.. our CB depth is off the charts and we have more than adequete return men (webb, zibby, rice, figurs)
nah we got him specifically for returning kicks, i dunno why we needed him b/c we have adequate people for that position but hey, i guess it will come down to the final cuts. a little competition never hurts there :D
Is KJ only 5'9"? Thats not ideal. Although if he's athletic that makes up for that to an extent.
if youre talking about webb, then yeah hes 5'9"-5'10", but KJ Gerard is actually pretty big for a corner.. right around 6'1" 185 like BloodR said i believe

i love webb
Just to let you guys know i think this guy will return 4 punts/kickoffs for TDS
He is like Reed in that he sees the field so well with ball in hand. Great playmker, think Asante Samuel just doesnt have the cover technique down yet. Also think Antoine Winfield with his jam at the line and hitting power

He could develop into a Pro Bowl player IMO

He might even play offense in some instances with our lack of depth there at WR

Those are some lofty expectations, comparing him to Reed, Samuel, and Winfield all in one. How about we let him play a game or two?

dont get me wrong, im not saying he is all those players what im saying is that he has qualities that those three have. He has Reed's retun ability. He has Asante Samuels ball hawking playmaker nature (however he sturggles in man to man playing off the reciever, so he will have to learn the technique for man to man) and he can hit like Antoine Winfield and press like he can. Webb has a good jam and is a ferocious hitter. He lacks the technique to be a staret or nickel back this year but what i was saying is he has certain qualities about him that resemble those of the playes i listed

He is is no way those players lol

No thats not what im saying at all

He cant cover man to man like Asante or Winfield
His zone coverage is miles behind Ed Reed. He isnt as smart as any of them on the field yet

What im saying is that he posseses attributes that they have and could turn into a good corner. He isnt the greatest corner of all time. So dont twist my words lol

Alright, alright. I'm not about to argue but I'm still going to remain a skeptic until I see him cover a receiver, though.

Fair enough
And IMO if there was a game today i dont think he could cover anyone
He lacks basic fundamentals in man to man coverage. We could use him in zone plays but he doesnt seem to have the fluid hip movement to play man to man. I expect him to return kicks and punts this year aswell as play some dime packages but nothing else. He wil also be our gunner when Ed isnt lol

He has the potential to be great, if he can work on his hips he will be great!

He has everything but the hips. I love him a lot already

Can't wait to see him in Preseason.

I think what people are trying to say is that he has a good upside. He just needs to work on being a Corner and moving like a Corner to better cover receivers. To do this he needs to learn to flip his hips quickly in coverage.

Im all over the band wagon with this guy. What a steal Ozzie found in the 3rd round. Cant wait until he gets on the field. Ed reed will teach him how to adjust to the NFL.
