Discuss The Steelers Pick

This is important considering they are our main rival and Superbowl winners.

Edit: Good pick, Im surprised they didnt take an o-lineman like Unger. Hood is a great player.

Im glad they didn't get the Center everyone was talking about, 2 centers in the first round wow. Anyways i don't think ziggy hood is that special. I think i heard mike mayok say he is a 2nd-3rd round talent. Only reason he was picked is because they didn't have any choices.

i think hood was actually a pretty good value at that spot.. im glad they didnt take an o-lineman b/c as a ravens fan, thats probably their weakest personell group and we gotta love suggs and the crew rushing big ben w/ a "weak" line

Yeah hes most likely a 3-4 end, if anything hes a great young player with a good motor. Hes going to give the rotation fresh legs.

Would it be considered smack if I declared that our first round pick can beat up your first round pick? ;)

Nah, it's not smack- just wishful thinking.

Touche Darklight. Touche

I'm sure you've heard this:

"I'm going to do everything I possibly can to get them to beat Pittsburgh."[/quote]

I have absolutely no probelem with that. Great attitude. That said, I reserve the right to poke fun if the kid doesn't start, and gloat if/when he gets beat. ;)

I hope we have an answer for Mike Wallace, the WR who clocked the 2nd fastest 40 in the combine.

The guy has speed.

More than likely you'll have another year or so to worry about him at WR. Getting behind the secondary is one thing, catching the ball is another.

I'm holding on to my high hopes for Limas Sweed, but realistically most rookie WR's take time.

The return game however.... :D

i think at some point our whole special teams unit will consist of all return men..... making it wherever you kick it a possible TD

only problem

no one to block :P

but i bet you lardarius webb will be one who is a special teams head hunter :)

LOL!! in his interview right after he was drafted he sliped and said that he was happy to be drafted by Pittsburgh. He recovered quickly, but it was funny. No worries though, I'm sure it was just nerves.
