Alternative (but Necessary) Mini-camp

4 posts in this topic

I've spent the last hour watching the highlights from last season for the 3rd or 4th time. The '08 Ravens were a seriously great team! Except against teams led by Mannings and The Mrs. John Kerrys (only the 3rd time around).

However, we really had a problem with fumbles. What's up with that? I haven't looked at NFL stats but it seems like various players coughed the ball up at crucial moments during the season, some of which we were able to compensate for, some of which we weren't.

I think the Ravens ought to dedicate a mini camp to "Not Turning The Ball Over." They could call it: "Not-Turning-The-Ball-Over Mini Camp." I'm sure this issue will be addressed within the various teams, but it seems to be something endemic across all the ball-handling :o positions.

Is there any place you can watch whole games, or at least more than are posted on the NFL website?

Ask Alge Crumpler about fumbling the ball at a crucial moment. *cough* playoffs round 2 *cough*

But seriously... That is the thing that McClain needs to work on the most.

I think that that is one of those things that comes with getting more experience and being able to "feel" when you're going to hit hit. Sometimes Manning seems almost psychic the way he moves around in the pocket.
