Hope we get details and confirmation soon.
It said they offered him. Not that he accepted. No need to celebrate yet

Last thing I want to see is Suggs go anywhere.

i think what will happen is if they can't sign him than they'll trade him for boldin..... it might be "unwise" but it could turn into boldin and more draft picks........ you do have to admit this has been a slight nag for us lately

Thats what I like to see! Hopefully Suggs stays true to his words earlier in the season and accepts it if it is a pretty lucrative contract instead of like last year.

Well I would feel reasonable giving Suggs a 6 year 45-60 Million dollar contract. Somewhere in between the 45 and 60 Million money wise, and 6 year deal. Don't get on me about that saying thats too much or that would be too little. I'm just trying to start something to see what you guys think would be a fair compensation to pay Suggs. The 6 year 45-60 Million is what feels good for an offer.

I really hope he takes the contract and stands by his actions in words this past season.

I really like him in the Raven uniform. I also feel like he will become a truly elite OLB linebacker this season. :)

Well he doesn't get Freeney money and he doesn't get Harrison money I just hope he realizes it. If he'll take the new and restructured deal and have a few others help open up cap space it should leave just enough space to sign Boldin long term. Signing Suggs long term and Boldin long term in one week? That would be awesome.

From a production standpoint, why wouldnt he get harrison money? Harrison is like 5 years older and is a one trick pony IMO. I think Suggs will and should get just about as much as Harrison. Remember, Harrison has a lot less left in the tank v.s. Suggs and Suggs has proven to be a great player for many years, Harrison is just finally becoming productive. He was a bench warmer.....
I'm not saying Suggs doesn't deserve the money but I hope he can start getting back to double-digit sacks.
Sacks aren't everything... Suggs is one of the most complete OLBs because he excels in other areas too. He has learned how to stop the run effectively, and has really stepped up his game in pass coverage. Too many analyists look at sacks for a OLB and call it a day. Suggs should get the money he is gonna get because of how he is great in pass coverage, rushing the passer, and run stopping. Hes not the best at any of the three, its just that he has the rare characteristic of being very, very good at all three.
