Official 24 Thread

18 posts in this topic

Did anyone catch 24 last night? I cant believe Tony killed Larry!

Side Note: I think the Stem Cell treatment will cure Jack.

I think this is the Start of a huge rivalry between Tony and Jack.

Any 24 fans have any thoughts about what might happen next?

Hey Buddy, why don't you start a 24 thread. I haven't seen it yet, but now I know the biggest part of the episode. If you had a thread simply entitled 24 I woul know to avoid it until after I've seen the episode. Just a suggestion. No big deal.

I'm not even a fan of the show (anymore), but even I know that's a huge spoiler. Warden's right, though, just for future reference, start an actual thread on the series itself and be careful about spoilers -- at least let us know they're coming. That way, we don't read anything we don't want spoiled yet, y'know?

Srry about that, I got a little ahead of myself. I did start a 24 thread about a month ago, no spoilers, but no one commented on it. Srry, won't happen again. Could a mod please delete this thread.

I still don't believe Tony is a bad guy, i think this is a "bigger picture" thing that we have no knowledge of yet! Maybe something he would of brought Jack in on but then Larry told him Jack's dying so he didn't bother. I know Tony killed Larry but think of all the bad things Jack has done in the past to get the job done.

Maybe i'm wrong but there's 6 episodes left so there's plenty more twists to go :)

I agree with you on the Stem Cell treatment, there's no way Jack's gonna die yet! But maybe they will leave it up in the air as a cliffhanger for us to think over until next season ;)

I may be wrong because I haven't watched the past seasons in a while, but I don't think Jack ever murdered an innocent in cold blood, not to mention a dedicated agent who was fighting for his country. The only thing I can think of similar that Jack has done was executing Ryan Chapelle, but it's not really the same considering even Ryan himself realized it had to be done and accepted his fate. I just don't see any redemption for Tony after this. He may not be totally evil, but he'll never be able to be totally good again either. I really can't wait to see Jack's reaction next week. I think it will lead him to accept the stem cell treatment so that he can take Tony down himself, setting up a great showdown between them at the end of the season.

BTW, am I the only one who loves President Taylor? She's by far my favorite 24 president since David Palmer.

Jack shot and killed CTU agent Curtis because he had history with Assad who was being pardoned and wasn't willing to let him leave! That's pretty much murdering a dedicated agent in cold blood for the sake of the mission.

Who's to say Jack will even know it was Tony anyway? At the end of the episode he was waiting for the FBI with Larrys body so nobody is gonna suspect Tonys involvement, at least not yet anyway! ;)

What i meant by "Tony is not a bad guy" was even though he has taken innocent lives to help the Starkwood agent get away with the Bio Weapon, i don't believe he is planning a terrorist attack with it. There's a bigger picture here somewhere, that's my feeling anyway!!!

I agree with you on the President, she is definately the best since David Palmer. I've disliked everyone in between :)

I forgot about Curtis, good point. I guess we'll see. I do agree that Tony's probably not a terrorist, but I don't think he's working for the good guys anymore either. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out.

As for the presidents, the only one I've liked since David Palmer was Logan, just because he was such a great weasel character. Obviously a terrible president, but excellent as a love to hate character.

SPOILERS FOR THIS WEEK'S EPISODE BELOW

Well, now Tony has assisted in blowing up several federal agents. It's going to have to a be a HUGE "bigger picture" to even come close to justifying his actions. Also, the preview seemed to indicate something about him being involved in another attack, but I know the previews always need to be taken with a grain of salt. However it turns out, this is probably the most interesting 24 subplot I've seen in a while. I'm really interested to see how it plays out. I really want to know what Tony's angle is in all of this.

Wow was i wrong :P , what an episode! There's no way Tony can justify this i agree, i wonder who this organization is who he's working for and who Starkwood had the bio weapon built for!?

To be honest i'm glad i was wrong because this direction of storyline is so much more interesting, i was just hoping Tony was still predominantely good because i've always liked his character since Day 1. It's obvious now that he hasn't got over the "Government betrayal" and probably never will!!

Tony's justification is money, probably. I hope Jack shoots him...He deserves it. And look at Jack's track record, he already killed his buddy Curtis and his boss Mason. I would be scared If I were tony.
