What The Heck Madden!

The speed rating is, in some cases, meant to be relative to each player's position rather than comparable to players all across the league.

I think it depends on size too. A guy who is 250 lbs and 87 speed wont bead landry 1 on 1 I dont think.... I am pretty sure it figures that into it.

Well Madden isnt the most accurate sim, so a faster rating will be given to a slower better player than a faster guy who isnt as good. Thats why the speed ratings change so much every year.

ie Have a good year and your speed will be bumped up.

ya i remember once when i got a pick with landry, he ran slow as hell! i mean i expected him to dart with the ball, but he ran like a TE and got tackled after less than 10 yards, in the open field. <_<

LOL that is the same thing that happened to me. I got caught by the QB when trying to turn the corner for a long TD.
the funny thing is that Terrell SUggs is slow as **** and his rating shouldnt be that high at all lol
You are right Suggs is slow he just has a quick first step and can get off blocks and i never knew Landry was slow in real games he seems fast. I mean where did they see in actual games that he looked that slow??? thats crazy.
