Season Defining Game

50 posts in this topic

I think it had to be the 2nd Browns game. If I remember correctly, we were 1 game above .500 at that point and a loss would have allowed Cleveland to tie us at # 2 in the division. We were picked to lose that game, we went down by two scores in the second half on the road, and then the rookies just took over the game. I think that game proved that we were not scared to put the ball in Flacco and Rice's hands at any moment, on any field.

That was the game I was going to choose as well, simply because we persevered for the victory, we won ugly, and the game revealed both our strengths and weaknesses.
That game was a Baltimore football personified, warts and all.

The game was mentioned so I gave MY take on it.[/quote]

And he gave his take on your take. Make another angry-poopy face. It makes me happy!

Just yesterday I was having a conversation about the long-term societal and developmental effects of the religion-vs-secularism debate on democratic national values and a Steelers fan tried to talk about how dreamy Rothlisberger is...

Now we're talking! Do you mind if I ask if this was online somewhere? Would love to jump in on that conversation, that kind of stuff is right up my alley!

Really? Couldn't we then use the excuse that we had something like 6,000,000 players on our team on the IR? I don't think CJ would have looked so hot if Gregg, Landry and McAllister were playing that day.

Simple things for simple minds I guess.

I can't imagine anything more boring. I'm assuming that the Steelers fan was female (hence: "Rothlisberger is dreamy") and judging by your response, you probably don't like girls.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with that!

Hope she didn't ruin your riveting converstaion..., but to think that she may have? Kinda makes me smile.

Yeah, he was killing us that game, but it's hard to say what if, because that's the way it did happen. I would bet Titans fans would more likely point out the missed delay of game penalty. If the refs had called penalties all the times their Oline mugged our Dline it would have been a different game as well

what about either miami game?? the first to get them back for beating us last season and causing all of those people to laugh at us. or the playoff one because we owned them to further rub it in plus ed reed was amazing in that game.

I'd go with the Miami game too. An incredibly fun game to watch if you're a Ravens fan. Maybe not season-defining, but fun.

Well we only lost the first game because of a stupid call; what goes around, comes around.

yeah Miami was great too. Espicially the first one. To me it seemed that it was the first real cohesive game of the season. It was the first time I really thought this could be a great season for us.

well i say there were two games the first was the our first gm at miami we were coming off of three straight losses flacco was 1td 7int on the season we had two close losses to the steelers and titans. We got completely blown out by the colts the season was going into shambles Fans/Media/Players wanted Flacco benched everybody thought our season was over and we were headed for a losing season and we came back and won big and Flacco threw 2 tds.

The second was the 2nd browns game when Flacco showed he could lead his team in a comeback and threw that strike on third and 20.
