Nfl Network Anti-ravens ?
I think it's a little of your being over sensitive, but also with some legitimacy to your claim. I think the best games played last year are against us. They always are bruising battles (almost always close ones) and unfortunately for you guys, the Steelers won them this year. Doesn't make them any less great to watch for fans outside B-more and Pitt though.

The Cowboys are like a sorry reality show. Let them talk about the Cowboys. No news out of the Ravens facility is good news. And like you said, the only reason the Steelers are getting mentioned is because they won the SB. Look at the coverage before the SB: Now maybe I am being a bias/over sensitive fan but it appeared to me that the Cinderella Cards with Larry Fitzgerald this and Kurt Warner that dominated the media. Every time I turned on the NFL Network I saw the Red and White of a 9-7 team and vaguely a mention of the 12-4 Steelers.

From what I've learned, it's almost always better when they are not talking about you. ;)
real nice comin from big ben in the flesh <_<
I am new, and I agree with you 100%. I say f'em. F'em all. We ( the Ravens and the Fans) don't need the hating media. We got each other. B)

OK...

I have tried to chill here and understand that as a Ravens fan, I may see favorable bias toward other teams by the NFL Network when none exists.

So I have carefully waited to let other teams be in the limelight that in no way did as well as the Ravens and dominate almost every program they show (one with a star on their helmet quickly comes to mind). Here the Steelers are the Super bowl champs so I can get over them as a center point of each show as an example of how a teams should look, hey respect. But...they don't seem to be as important either to the NFL Network as Dallas, Tampa, Atlanta, Miami and Indianapolis.

enough is enough! OK guys..... tell me where I am wrong here, maybe I am too sensitive as a fan, but here is some of my pet peeves. Am I wrong?

 The only games the Ravens have been in on Replay or otherwise are the loses to the Steelers

 During the entire combine very little was said good (or said at all) about Flacco, you would think Matt Ryan was the Super bowl winning QB

<_< The only thing that made the highlight of 2008 was Flacco's shocked look as he got sacked by Dallas!
I don't know what you watched but I've seen multiple highlights of the two runs and the TD pass to Mason. I have also remember seeing the highlights of Tony Romo's two interceptions. And the fake FG was brought up quite a bit.

 No mention of two TD runs under 4 minutes (Dallas last game in Texas stadium)
See above. There was plenty of mention and highlights of this.

 How about the fake field goal in that game?? Would have been worth mention I think
Again, I have no idea what you are talking about. This play was indeed highlighted.

 The only mention of Flacco was to speculate a trade of him over the Cutler mess
What coverage are you watching? I've never heard any of this. I think you are just making stuff up.

 They hyped the speculation over Dallas wanting Ray Lewis, (at least they gave Ray a short interview when he signed with the Ravens for 7 yrs)
One of the few statements I agree with. A ton of hype centering around this and Adam Scheffler was going out of control with his rumors. I'm glad that Rod Woodson took it upon himself to try and get an actual statement from Ray Lewis.

:) They did have Derick Mason on the show but never asked him about the Ravens, only about other teams
Again, I have no idea what you were watching. They talked about the Ravens quite a bit and the season he had with Joe Flacco at QB.

 Ravens can't seem to be in the 10 best (pick the subject) show, or team film sessions shows.
I know Ray Lewis made a top 10 "feared players". The Ravens made a top 10 "best draft year (1996)" of all time. And I'm sure we've probably made a top 10 defense of all time as well. What other top 10's have we ever had on this team?

;) If we had a so-so season I would say well...ok, but I believe the Ravens played in the AFC Championship that should deserve better!

ok I said my piece, what do you guys think?

I'm not sure what you are watching. We don't get a ton of coverage but I think you are WAY overreacting on a lot of your statements. The NFL Network was one of the few media outlets that gave the Ravens a ton of coverage during the season. If you want to complain about bias sports channels then you should be complaining about ESPN.
2000-2006 ravens had the best home record in football period! we blew it with the crappy 2007 season....maybe we can get back on track. But the media shouldn't count us out from being a possible wild-card team pretty much every season.

I still talk about the MNF football game when the colts came back from being down 21points! that's from 2003! it was a regular game...but still classic. I went to sleep mid-way 4th quater and woke up shocked by what happened!..........

^^^ the ravens vs pats game of 2007 is still classic!...would have been more classic if the giants ain't win the superbowl....BUT IT IS STILL CLASSIIC and nfl network used the play that game all the time! our starters came back just for that one game to prove a point then most went back on IR.

I say we as fans start our own Ravens show and pod cast it over the internet for our entire "small" fanbase that stretches from Alaska to England to see so that the dude who buys MASN can stay where he is. That way, we can get all the news out there and maybe people will start to listen/watch and we could compete with NFL Network. Like the saying goes...actions speak louder then words. Maybe Duffy can help us out with this...

I don't care. I watch NFL Network every day just to look at all the teams that we are going to pound into the Earth with no feelings about what the Pinkoe, double speak, band wagon, hype riddled media thinks.

WE ARE!

WHAT'S OUR NAME! RAVENS!

WHAT'S OUR NAME! RAVENS!

WHAT'S OUR NAME! RAVENS!

Well, as of May the 1st, if you have Comcast you no longer have to worry about what the NFL network says about the Ravens because you will no longer have the NFL network. So what do we do about that?

Screw The National Media! I think ESPN is worse than NFL Network tho.

I hope they do disrespect us. It fuels that Us against the world mindset we won the Super Bowl with.

Kind of random, but nfl network is showing some Raven love right now:

http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true

That little advertisement on the lower right features Joe Flacco. He's representing the draft picks of the last season. :)

I have to say I'm not really surprised that the Ravens don't get much media attention. The teams you hear about are sb winners, consistent playoff teams, and (if nothing else) teams that have been around since the dinosaurs.

On the other hand we aren't the only team to have an imperfect season, aren't filled with drama queens on the field and in the front office, and aren't dissing our starting quarterback.

Right now we're somewhere in the middle of those two groups.

Who cares, this is nothing new. Let them jump on the bandwagon this year after we win the super bowl.
